It will soon be time to face off in the hockey season. Camps are opening. I am optimistic abote my Sharks. Get ready for the competition to win the toughest trophy to win in all of sports, Lord Stanley's Cup. I would like to start this season with a nice, nice allegorical story. It's 100% true... I was talking to my friend Mark, the manager of Southwest Airlines Cargo at Oakland CA airport. It seems his wife is from Montreal, Quebecois, and a huge Habs fan. Mark is a loyal Sharks fan, like myself and many, many others. Once, a long time ago, Mark and his wife went to a game at the old Forum in Montreal, a truly historic venue. In the first period, the Sharks scored a goal and Mark stood up and cheered. The only way he then avoided being literally killed by nearby rabid Habs fans, was that his wife talked them down, in French, of course. By the end of the first period, everyone was buying each other beers. Do not ever forget that the Zamboni machine was invented in Paramount, California, just 7 miles from Dignity Health Sports Park, and that the Habs, the Penguins, the Kings, and the Ducks suck. NHL: Get coked up, suspended 3 games.

Stayed up late to watch the VGK/SJS game.......SJS got pretty chippy, must not have liked getting spanked.
These two clubs face each other in the opener, in fact they have a home and home for their first two games.
Refs will be busy those nights......

He had extensive play at Jr level, and is a practice goalie for the Leafs organization currently, so it isn't as if he has never seen high level shots. The far bigger story is Ovi getting to 700.......

We traded Kovy to the Caps simply because of his desire to play with Ovechkin. Classy move by Berg, but one deserved by Kovy.

Henri Richard passed away......
An incredible player, with 11 Stanley Cup championships, and such a dear friend.
It has been an extremely long and tearful day here in Montreal.
Que Dieu accueille votre âme au ciel mon ami .....
