Not at all......MW played and contributed. Lamp is a spectator...... Which was what MW was in 2017. That's the point. MW played in 10 games his rookie year, far from what anyone could consider 'a spectator'. Lamp played in zero, and then only two games in his second year. They are not comparable.....

Unless you think that "playing" was getting thrown at a few times while not making any plays, and then suddenly leaving the game/being sidelined because of a new injury.

Jared Goff stunk it up in his rookie season and look what he did this year. I think the Cards would be silly to send him packing, but if they do I'd be happy to see him replace our current back-up QB's. If Rosen get's back to the form he displayed in his Freshman year, he'll a franchise QB.

How quickly some of us forget about this:
Nov 23, 2017 NFL Knee Bruise Williams missed 1 game with a bone bruise on his right knee. May 12, 2017 NFL Back Vertebral Disc Hernia Williams suffered what the team called a "mild disc herniation in his lower back" on the 1st day of rookie minicamp. He didn't return to practice until September and didn't play until mid-October (Week 6). Sep 5, 2015 Non-NFL Cervical Neck Fracture
Oh, and did I mention that with all these injuries and loss of playing time, there were multiple people on the CMB who called Williams a bust? And to be traded or cut?

How is it that you two think any of MW's injury history has been forgotten. MW was hurt in minicamp, did not play until G& of the regular season. His play was unspectacular the rest of the year. Played the entire next year, in pretty spectacular fashion. Explain to me how any of that has anything to do with Lamp ? It doesn't...... Lamp got injured, got healthy, has not played squat....... TC will determine if Lamp is a starter, a reserve, or a bust pick.

I'll give up after this, but for the last (maybe) time...
Pointing out what happened with another rookie is a NON-SEQUITUR.
It has ZERO to do with Lamp or Rosen or anyone. Saying what could happen to A because it happened to B is irrelevant. Stop it.
Yes, Lamp could be good. He could bust. Current trend imo is bust, with hope it will change. That's what we have, hope.

I have reached the 'give up' stage myself. The answers on Lamp will not come before TC, barring some really unfortunate incident. I hope Lamp smokes everyone at TC and becomes a star, as the need is huge for our OL group. Hoping and expecting are two very different things in my world.

Please don't pursue Josh Rosen. No mobility, fragile and not a strong arm. Horrible trio of weaknesses. Cards made a mistake.
