So the bolts will have to make it where they are or it folds up like a broken kite.
To me, cities are more and more going to tell NFL owners to foot their own building projects. It is not going to be pretty.

It is not going to be pretty. Having a facility is the single most expensive aspect, with plenty of benefit to the local economy. I understand your viewpoint, but believe that there will always be a partnership of sorts on facility projects. 100% owner funded is the exception, not the rule. I can see a time where no public funding is involved, but then it would be league money playing the part of the public.

Don't bother me with trifles... Well, maybe there's another kronke.. Kroenke doesn’t hand out gifts: he’s out to make a profit in the nation’s #2 market, and he will despite pumping billions into the LASED project. Can’t do that in the #29 media market that is boxed in to the north by said #2 media market. mediatracks.com/resources/nielsen-dma-rankings-2019/If SD wants an NFL team back, they’ll have to do it the same way that all markets outside of NYC, LA and SF have done it: pay through their noses, and unlike some other franchise locations will get zero assistance from the state. Disagree. Size of the media market is irrelevant. That money is shared. Kroenke isn’t making his money back on the football field or stadium. If he does it will be because of the surrounding development. The Chargers didn’t need a $5billion stadium project.

I wonder if there was an expectation by Kroenke that there would be a certain amount of money never recouvered by this project? It is sad that SD and the Bolts could never find common ground to get a new stadium built right next to the old one. Seemed like a great location.
