Rather than waste my time explaining it all to you, I will just share a post from Freak, who seems to actually get it. "I'm sure that goes into the decision making Sign Rivers, and then just let the draft come to you. QB you like, draft him. QB's gone, check the next box." Yea you guys are so smart blah blah blah... That much is obvious, I'd be hoping for a QB but anything Oline that is a credible baller would be nice. TT's tract record for the draft is shaky at best... Huh, about 4 points in there and they are all correct.

The claim was best WRs in the NCAA. Not according to the vast majority of draft sites. I'm no expert but the consensus among alleged 'spurts has Jeudy & Ruggs II Ala the top pair in this draft, contending with Cee Cee Lamb -OK for #1 WR in the 2020 draft. Your guys may be a steal with where they are currently ranked but are not getting top acclaim. It appears that most believe Burrows was working with less talented WRs than Tua, never mind Herbert, whose WRs are well downstream.
Tim Tebow was the best college QB for 3 years in a row. In fact, he was one of the best college QB's ever. How a player projects in the NFL doesn't always correlate to how good the are in college. Statistically, Calvin Johnson was never top 20 WR at GT, but was an amazing pro. Who in the SEC was better this year than Chase and Jefferson? No one. Mecole Hardman was a role player for the Bulldogs but a second round pick. Alshon Jeffery was the best WR in college in 2010 yet went in the draft at the same time. So by your logic is they were equals in college? Measurables are what get you drafted. Draft sites project upward mobility. Anyone who has spent anytime in the corporate world knows the difference between a performance appraisal and a development placement. I'm looking at current performance and you and the Freak are refuting it based on upward mobility projections. Interesting. Jeudy & Ruggs II Ala the top pair in this draft I'm going to leave out the THIRD 1st round draft pick at Alabama. Have you checked out Jeudy ? Jerry Jeudy is being projected as high as 3rd in the draft. That's pretty crazy in the world of QB, DE, OT. He is being called the next Julio Jones. Now I hate comparisons, but that's damn high praise. I checked out Chase. That guys is only a sophomore ?? Wow. Craziness. He has to be an early Heisman hopeful for next year.

No they don't. Did you know Alabama has THREE WR's projected to go in the first round ? One of them they think is Top 5 overall. Yes they did. Top two players in the SEC in receptions were Chase and Jefferson from LSU Top two players in the SEC in receiving yards were Chase and Jefferson. Top two players in the SEC in receiving touchdowns were Chase and Jefferson. Alabama has a wealth of talent and they boasted 3 and 4 but coming from SEC country, I know for a fact that LSU WR's were the most feared in the conference. Perhaps, I should have rephrased to state that their starting WR's are the best in the country. Jerry Jeudy was supposed to be the top WR in the SEC but didn't shine. Click on this link and click on the individual players which will take you to their ESPN player page. Check out their stats against top 25 teams. Chase and Jefferson are in a league of their own. www.secsports.com/statistics/football/player/receiving Good call on Jefferson. He is creeping into the first round. I would describe him as similar to Tyrell, a strider, although certainly not as fast or explosive. There may be a good fit with Rivers. WR#3 is a prime PON in my view. Other team deficiencies must be addressed, but that is sooner or later. It does not matter who our OTs are if we do not have a full arsenal so as to score with KC. Defenses can throttle offenses if they are not challenged enough with a full array of playmakers. JMO.

- Fire AL and Gus this weekend - Lose to the Chiefs (not a tank, just a product of the former) - Pitch Rivers a team-friendly 2-year deal with a pre-draft deadline - Draft a QB (if no Rivers) or BPA, OL, CB, WR, BPA, BPA, BPA - Let Gordon walk - Get some vet OL help - Look for a decent vet MLB with some tread left

- Hire a new OC (I like Matt Rhule) - Lose to the Chiefs - I like the PR idea... Let him walk if he refuses to groom his replacement - Draft a QB, move up if we have to - Let Gordon walk - Draft OL and sign via FA - ?? - Win

I have a Draft update for you guys.
We moved up to 7th !!!!!
It would be nice to see the Giants win, we lose, and they are "hot" right now. We might move to 6th if it happens.

I see mock drafts where we take QB Herbert in the 7th spot. The Iowa Tackle, USC Tackle, and both Alabama Tackles would be available at 7. At 7, THE Tackle of the draft out of Georgia could easily be available. Sound the Jeopardy music.....................

After last years Tackle pool of suck, its a pretty good pool this year. I REALLY think its QB time, and remember my words with the 6th/7th pick of the draft: You do not know when you will be in this position again. 6th/7th isn't promised to you. QB prospects are not promised to you in the future. Go get our future QB with a 5th year option, here and now.

Start Rivers next year, and have Tua/Herbert learning along the way ? That's a good spot to be in.

Would almost rather start Tyrod and hope we hire a good enough OC to groom QB Jr. We'll have to give PR that new contract and I don't think its realistic to expect him to not get paid... He can easily make a giant front loaded deal somewhere else. Save the PR money to rebuild the O-line and bolster the defense. Oh yea, and likely resign Bosa.
