Jeudy = Day One Starter. Andrew Thomas = Day One Starter
Book it.
Now book it because I said so.
Your odds are good. They're probably as likely as QBs Burrow & Tua.
ps: starting day 1 isn't all I'm looking for. It's nice but being a PB candidate consistently is better.
Odds are good? Thomas could be asleep and be better than the OT's the Bolts were starting.

We all know of high 1st rd picks who were injured/unable to play, had drug/legal issues, had mental/psychological melt downs, contract/agent/negotiation issues etc, etc and were not an immediate asset- if ever.
Thomas ( among others) would be a solid bet to start for LAC if totally healthy, in camp, signed and has a great attitude.

After this season and the playoff games so far I’m more convinced the entire scouting/drafting side of the Chargers should get fired.

do whatever it takes to secure more cap space and #1 pick 2021.
Draft Lawrence and sign Dabo to be HC.

I’m more convinced now that TT needs to address our O line before anything else. We haven’t had a decent line since the LT days. Look at how TN manhandled both NE and BAL. wow. Gordon is a decent back who could be great if he had a line. Like it not PR is still a decent QB and can be great again behind a good OL. Bringing in a rookie QB to start behind THIS o line would be a joke. Sign PR to groom the next QB and build a line that can protect him, and Gordon for the future.
It’s not like any one of the kids coming out of college are going to take us to the Super Bowl any time soon. Not behind the line that we have. TT needs to do something here.

I agree with you thannah and I'll add that I think Rivers will be OK for one more year- maybe even two!!! That, along with the dire need to upgrade the O-line or nothing will improve and the risky QBs in this draft mean I think we should draft the best Tackle available and sign another lineman in free agency. Spending the high pick on one of the QBs in this draft just screams desperation not solution.

It can be a future solution for us.
I warn yet again: You do not know when you are picking Top 6 again. You do not know the QB pool when that time should ever come.

That's a valid point, Freak. I do believe that WHEN we draft Rivers' replacement it should be on a first-round worthy talent, not a sixth-round or FA low probability guy. I'm just making the point that IMO this shouldn't be the year we take a first round QB because PR can still get us another year or two and our O-line needs outweigh everything.

Ok. Let's continue your thought. You see Rivers in a bounce back year. Great !!! Now we are picking 25-30th in the draft. You pick leftovers there at QB, or mortgage about 4 years worth of top draft to move up.

This is why FA is so important this year. need to NAIL the OL and DL positions in it. That will free up the bolts to look QB. Otherwise, I'm with Ohio, Get the Ol aor DL with #6. we cannot afford to lose stupidly anymore.

Otherwise, I'm with Ohio, Get the Ol aor DL with #6. we cannot afford to lose stupidly anymore. whether it is in FA or with the first few picks in the draft, we need to build the Oline. I know PR is at his end, but putting a rookie QB behind what we have is only going to hurt his growth, and confidence. Gordon, HH and Allen/M Williams...we have some great talent there but what’s holding it back is an O line that can pound it and open holes for Gordon as well as block and give PR time. I’d rather take a few years and build an O line while grooming the next QB than putting the next QB out there with nothing to protect him. I see the point about getting a QB with a low end pick compared to a late round. I get it. But the glaring issue on this team has been our O line...for years.
