Personally, I want lamp one more year. I think the knee injury was a long term recovery. He held his own late in the season. The talent is there. I wouldn't be in a hurry to dump any of our young OL. I'd like to see them compete to make the final 53 in a roster with a couple healthy quality vets AND a couple talented 2020 draft picks. I'm of the opinion that competing for starting/roster slots, playing next to/between the above will result in elevating the performance of the young 2019 OLs, or at least a few. Put them in a better opportunity with higher expectations first and if they don't appear to get it in OT/TC, see ya.
OL Coach Meyer will be in a make or break situation in 2020 but give him a roster before the S- can.
No, no real reason to dumping them now. Just draft, or sign FA's, that come in and relegate the current OL to not needed status. It should not be too difficult.....

Mahommes is why you need a good young fast QB.

Mahommes is why you need a good young fast QB. Pocket QBs will never go out of style. PM is a generational talent, not a walking archetype for success.

KC proved it still a passing league. Right before San Fran proved it’s still a rushing league I guess. My point was that PM’s scrambling ability isn’t a prerequisite for success. It’s no more important now than it was 10 years ago, people are just overreacting because there are some great mobile QBs right now. Especially here after watching our pocket QB get mauled for most of that timeframe.

This is a solid post from a smart NFL fan. xenos clicked the like button, which doubles the power of the post. All of you collectively cannot match my power, so I have to design a rebuttal. Watch the copycat league factor. You can bet your bottom Draft dollar teams will try to emulate Lamar Jackson and Mahomes.

Brady and Rivers had great career's, but they are winding down. You have to be able to move a little. When Pipkens is blocking for you I would recommend you move a LOT. Rivers running form could be described as drunk woman slowly being chased by no one. Check out the playoff teams where QB's can move. Jackson, Mahomes, Wilson, Rodgers, Watson, Allen, Wentz, Brees can at least move.

From what I see in these teams that we don't have is... Coaching, fans, a crazy TE, and a young QB.

He looked old in every single west coast game this year including ours !!!!!!

As for the rest of your list, you left out Oline.
KC's line got healthy at the end of the year, and Swivel Hips Mahomes roll outs to the right are by design, I'm telling you.
San Fran has the most underated Oline in the NFL. Holy Cats can those guys run block !! If you want to be scared of the whole SF team, they are YOUNG too.
We have Pipkins. He's young too.

After going 12-4 in 2018 there was reason to believe the team could put together a run in 2019. Now, one year later, we are in disarray. Question mark at the most important position and nothing hopeful to build on. Lynn has not established an identity with the team in 3 seasons. The roster has holes that can’t be easily fixed. The team has no home field advantage and is a bit of a laughingstock for it. The players finally voiced their frustration with it. The FO is nothing to envy and the owners are in the top 4 of worst in the NFL and maybe all of sports. The good players they have will likely be looking to get out and the only FA’s they could attract are guys at the end of the line or without other interest.
What am I missing?
