So here's my plan; Say good bye to Okung, use that salary savings to bring in Conklin. Us the savings from letting Rivers move to sign Teddy Bridgewater. That's your two big FA signings. Use a few more bucks for a decent #3 WR.
Sign Thomas with the first round pick in the draft. Take CB Cameron Dantzler in the second and go BPA the rest of the draft.
We end up with a much better OL and a dependable QB.

Either way we're a couple years behind KC IMHO...

If the rumors are true and Mahomes gets a $49M contract, they will have to release some good players.
Bridgewater basically had the terrible knee injury and most of his missed games were related to that. Go to you tube and search for Teddy Bridgewater plays last season (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=teddy+bridgewater.) He looks to me like he's back in form. The Question on him is what Boltjolt said - how much $$ is he looking for?

Pessimistic maybe... I prefer realistic. We are not the Saints, we have injury issues every year without fail. I don't think Bridgewater albeit talented is worth the risk for the money we'll undoubtedly spend. Not to mention the oline we all love to hate, being good enough for an injury prone QB.

People that are pessimistic and those that are optimistic usually think they are realistic.
