I think Simmons is good and worthy of being picked at #6 but I don't think of him as a fit for Bolts defense. I don't see him as a solid LB but I do think he'd make a great SS ---- and we have one of the best SS in the NFL. I'd pass on him for that reason. I'm still saying we should take Thomas. Those OT's usually have long careers - imagine having a solid LOT for the next 12-15 years! This is our best chance in a long time to get a really good LOT. With both Simmons and James, there would be no serious designation on FS or SS....... I suspect OT Thomas will be chosen by the Giants.......next best OT is Wills, who is very good as well. Simmons, Thomas, Brown or Wills.....all would bring huge value to the Bolts roster. TT cannot go wrong, unless he goes QB..... /agreed
Seems like the surefire talent is not at the QB position unless you are drafting Burrow.

Could grab Herbert at 6 and trade back up for an OT. Costly but not as costly as moving up for Burrows.

Don't think I am flip flopping my positions and draft strategies as I turn 180 degrees here. I think your plan is too costly, but its important you know why: The OT pool is too deep this year. Trading our 2nd round and drafting one late in the first would be sweet. You would have Herbert and the OT on 5th year team options.

I saw Thomas Davis on NFL network yesterday. He said the players on the team all like Tyrod and believe he can be great as their new leader. He also said Lynn is REAL high on Tyrod.
I hope Tyrod is not the plan but Davis knows more about the situation then any of us do.

The last QB Lynn was REAL high on was Cardale Jones.
