If you need a QB, you have to draft one. If any are rated in the 1st, I do not see how you can pass him up, even if he is not your favorite. Granted if they are not 1st rounders, then you go BPA or PON somewhere else in the first. Then again, the QB evaluation system in the NFL is at best a crap shoot. Clearly you are not advocating taking a player you do not like, are you? Say Rivers is out of the picture for next season. In my view, if Herbert is there, I take him. If he is gone, I am probably taking BPA and rolling with Taylor as my starter. Welcome to QB hell...... yes I am. The QB spot is a crap shoot. I know teams will pick players that were not their first choice, happens all the time. teams lie about it. I doubt PR is done after this season. If he is, you are drafting a QB someplace.

Is that on Rivers or on OL? Both I would say...... That was just pure football... PR needs to protect the ball, that part is not on the oline. I don't fault PR too much though, he obviously thought someone was rolling up on his legs.

I agree Rivers does need to hold onto that ball, and he clearly was concerned about being hit low. That concern is driven by a season of poor performance from this OL.
