Lamp is getting ready for TC. So he's not a bust today.

Is Lamp the big guy with fast feet in front? That dude looks like he wants to play.

No reason to get ahead of ourselves in Week 2 of OTA’s, but this looks promising!

Lamp playing well would be one of the biggest things that could happen for this team.

Goalies don't get it though.

Goalies don't get it though. If he doesn't start by midseason, is it safe to call him a bust? I say yes.

I hope so because I don't like the taste of crow. It doesn't reflect well on him that he couldn't even make the game day roster until the very end of the year, especially given the state of our Oline. I'd like to think you're right, but it's a toss up IMO. Could be he was overdrafted and didn't have as much ability as we hoped. Could be the injury was catastrophic and ruined a good player. Could be he comes back with a vengeance and dominates. All we really know is he was very good in college and our talent folk really liked him a couple years ago. We're all hopeful.

Let's think a bit about last years OL. For most of the season the Bolts OL was quite good. Rivers was seldom sacked and our RB's found room to run. Late in the season - perhaps the last 5 games and the two postseason games the OL seemed to come undone.
So, I've wondered did they wear down? Was it the better DL they were playing against at seasons end? I think it was a bit of both. Lynn seemed reluctant to play any of the backups, the starting 5 played almost all the time all season long and we did play teams that are known for a strong pass rush. - Denver, KC, Pitt, Balt., and the cheaters. Remember during the latter part of the year Lynn was asked if Lamp was ready to play and he replied yes but I'm reluctant to break up the group. I think that's a sign that he didn't give the starting five enough rest. Who knows for sure? I'll tell you this though, the offense will never be as good as we want them to be as long as the OL is sub standard. The OL is more important than most people realize.

Pouncy struggled those last games. Most think he was worn down. I agree.

Coach Lynn said this offseason that one of the things he wanted to change was rest time for the players. He didn't feel it was enough last year and vowed to change that this season. He specifically pointed to Running Back and Quarterback.
It sounded like a learning lesson for our "newer head coach". Which is fantastic to hear the growth in him. Guys grinding hard all year, chasing the division title with big games at the end, road warriors, then oh, welcome to the playoffs on the road..........................there was a lot asked of our team last year.

Middle and end of the year. The OL was actually good for most of the season until the last few games. People started exploiting both Feeney and Schofield. It may have to do with Pouncey wearing down as well.
