We all just have mad love for Rivers. What a great QB he was for us for 16 years. You look up Franchise QB in the dictionary and his picture should be next to it. Whatever team signs you is getting a straight competitor. Best of Luck, Phil #IronMan #17

This is a hard one to swallow but I u sweat and why the move was made. I get a little bit angry when I read about other fans ripping the FO for not keeping him. Obviously we want Rivers to be a bolt for life but fact of the matter is that Rivers was declining in his play, whether that be due to his poor decisions or the offensive line, I think we should or can all agree that a change is needed and at the end of the day, we’re looking to win a Super Bowl and that might be with another QB. Loyalty can only go so far until production isn’t there

Best QB in Chargers history, its a shame this owner couldn't build a championship around him.

It is sad to read that. Rivers deserved a chance to play in the big game and compete for a ring. Feel bad for him thinking that his best years were wasted with bad FO/Coaching/Personnel decisions. No reason that cannot still occur. After all he'll be signing with a team other than the chargers.

I’m like Rivers. Lots of mixed emotions about this. He represented the franchise for 14 seasons and you had to love the man and his competitive fire. It feels like the team is blaming last season on Rivers and I don’t buy that. Lynn you are now on the very hot seat in my mind. You and TT better have an upgrade at qb and that won’t be easy. It became clear that Lynn and Rivers were not of a like mind. Lynn you better have some good ideas or you will be roasted for this, especially if Rivers goes to the Colts and ends up doing well.
Thank you Phil. I dogged you over the years but will still miss you. You now join LT and Seau as Charger greats that finished elsewhere. I will be rooting for you

The Bolts are sticking with Lynn so goodbye PR. I do fully agree Lynn is hot seated and TT probably as well. They have made a decision as to the team course, if they do not deliver, they need and will be held to account. I enjoyed PR's fire, competitiveness and fun attitude.

PR will probably never say anything otherwise so we wlil simply not know for sure.

Moving away from a franchise QB is a huge decision, and one that comes with serious ramifications. Get it right, all is good, but be off even just a bit, and the fans will revolt. I fear the chips have been put all in on Herbert........
