Rivers: “So it’s not like it’s a Super Bowl or nothing. But if it’s a team where it’s going to be tough sledding and they’re two years away from even having a chance, and they led the league in most sacks given up or something, then it’s, ‘I don’t think so, guys.’”
Clearly he is prioritizing the OL. Maybe that says something about what TT was able to commit to him, or perhaps just a reflection on the last season.

The really big concern is that TT, Spanos, or just whomever really is in charge, doesn't think the OL is an issue. I have read quotes from TT implying the OL group is not really bad, and yea, they could use a pick or two , but he really likes them overall.......I have always felt that was media BS, and just ignored it.....but if they really believe it, nobody can blame Rivers for moving to Florida.

Saying they would resign him and then not doing it ? according to the release, it sounded like a mutual agreement. They tried. I would appear. PR will probably never say anything otherwise so we wlil simply not know for sure. I apologize. I misread you meaning in the part I bolded.

Very good. I actually think there may be hope for you yet. In the past he has stated he thinks the OL group is good. My concern has been that he actually believes that. I think it was more of a "they are good enough that I can focus on other areas". "We can make it work and not over-invest in it". Its been a mistake. NOW is the time to own the mistake, and go fix it.

On social media Monday after the news broke, Brady “liked” an NFL Instagram post sharing the news that Rivers will not return to the Chargers in 2020.
Report: Chargers expected to ‘make a push’ for Tom Brady
(these rumors/reports/whatever, are completely in line with my "The team has to have an answer." Rivers could at least match up with Mahomes. That chance just got up and moved to Florida. You have to have answer, and currently you have a big hole there.)

How many cameras is he bringing is the real question since that turd has never done anything without cheating.

Moving into a brand new stadium and trying to win over a fan base with Tyrod is suicide..
Sign Brady to a 3 year deal and draft Herbert to work under him. I know Brady isn't what he use to be, but who cares. He will put butts in seats and guarantee TV time for an organization that desperately needs some PR work.

Hmmm... Sounds like something I said. PR needs an all-pro line, he's not getting that with a majority of teams. I honestly hope he goes to Indy and wins a Superbowl... Then we win it in 2021 with our new superstar QB.

I can handle Tua, Hebert, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Teddy Bridgewater, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota or even Tyrod Taylor/Easton Stick. EDIT: Forgot Ryan Tannehill Tom Brady is just not something I can stomach. He should never wear Bolts, ever! Don't make a deal with the devil in a desperate attempt to sell tickets. Not to mention he is 42 and declining with a defense that carried the team to the playoffs in a weak division AND will expect $30M+ this time around.

I would kill for Brady and his 6 Superbowl rings. I liked Rivers as much as the next guy, but he's the only one out of that killer draft class that didn't win the big one, in fact he never even made it there.. Ben & Eli both won it twice and they had good defenses too! This team has never really known discipline, or had that winning attitude. Even at 42 Brady can bring that. This team has tried everything, coaches, General managers, players..Nothing has worked, what the hell let's give Tom a whirl!

linkThe Los Angeles Chargers, fresh off announcing Philip Rivers will not return in 2020, are reportedly in on soon-to-be free agent Tom Brady. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, summing up a huge day for the Chargers, reported live on air that the Bolts are expected to be among the teams that will “make a push” to sign Tom Brady this spring. Interestingly, this news comes just hours after Brady himself had an eye-opening response to the news Rivers would not return to the Chargers next season. It also follows another report that indicates the New England Patriots actually want Brady to test free agency, rather than re-sign him first. Needless to say, the Tom Brady sweepstakes appears to be getting off to a roaring start, and we still have another month to go before anyone can sign the six-time Super Bowl champ.

Those other QBs got drafted by good teams with good ownership that made smart moves. The Spaznos clan are kinda the anti that.

I still can't believe anyone supports this idea....let alone someone who would "kill for Brady". The only killing should be Bosa or Ingram killing Brady on the other side of an opponent's o-line.
