If I was Dallas I'd trade Dak and sign Newton... Let Newton and Dalton compete for the #1. Your love for Newton seriously impedes your evaluation of the position held by Dallas. Dak is controlled by Dallas. Yes Dak could refuse services, but that earns no money and gets him no closer to any 'freedom' from Dallas, if freedom was the goal. Dallas has Dalton as their fall back QB, which is just a cheap insurance policy in case the Dak negotiations really go badly. Trading Dak seems extremely unlikely, and even more difficult to accomplish then you are acknowledging. Another thing you refuse to acknowledge is the Newton issue.......which there clearly is one. What it actually is I do not know. There is virtually zero interest in him it seems, so that means something, does it not? I simply respect Newton's game and realize the hand he's been dealt in the NFL... Mediocre Carolina team that he still took to the Superbowl and refs continually allowing him to get hit like a RB behind the LOS... Dak will get his contract and likely be paid way to much, I just think Dallas has better options. Dak to me right now is the Qb version of MG, holdout notwithstanding...

Nobody is disparaging Newton's accomplishments, but there is a reason no club is interested. Might be cost, might be injury, might be....whatever you can think up. They are all paid way too much...... Personally, I think the big money should go to the executives. Dallas has no better option on their roster, and there is not a chance in heck Newton is a better option, even if he played for free. I do not believe Dak is 'holding out' currently......might come to that, but I do not think so.

Dak is putting a lot of pressure on himself to perform when he doesn't have to... I see where this is going to end up. He'll be made the scapegoat, nobody else.

I agree with about 51% of it. I don't have to agree to see a great post. Excellent takes. They have no better options for talent at QB than Dak Prescott. Great line about MG. I can kind of see the opposites there too. One played behind maybe the best Oline in the NFL. The other played behind the Chargers Oline....................................... Dak is perfectly positioned entering negotiations. QB'd the best offense in the NFL last year. The O was SO productive.

But that line is so, so, so,,,,,,I can't even find the words for it. ME. IIIIIIIIII can't find the words. It's so disturbingly bizarre I had to reply when I'm not even talking to you. Well done for that. Nobody on planet earth has ever typed those words up there, INCLUDING NFL Executives !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, and I DO mean WOW.

They are not over paid. Every exec wants the money in his pocket as well as the fame. He wants the workers to make him richer at their expense. You never see fans wearing an executives number or hold signs in adoration of them. Its the players. without them the exec is nothing more than an empty suit.

I did not say they were overpaid......stop doing what Freak does. I did say they were paid way too much...... I know few executives that seek the notoriety, or fame if you prefer, and the vast majority seek anonymity. Without players the business does not exist, which is why they are paid way too much. Full circle seems appropriate.

The difference is being paid too much equates to earning large amount because of the system, while being overpaid equates to receiving large amounts that many feel you did not earn.

You are trying to be even more mental than "I think the big money should go to the executives." Its a great great effort. Close. But you are not going to top it. Well, unless I give you a week or so.
