It is a lot more complex than you might imagine, I am sure once they have picked a name (most likely already done) there is the trademarking of designs and all the legal issues that includes, Setting up the marketing (remember the rushed LA Charger emblem that crashed and burned) getting league office approval then ramp up to production with Nike and other deals. Just look at what the Seattle NHL team had to do before they announced their franchise name & emblems to see how it should be done. Complicated? Absolutely, but Snyder has plenty of lawyers and should have been prepared for this eventuality given how this issue has been on the front-burner for the past dozen years. Out of all options available, naming the franchise "Washington Football Team" is at the bottom of the crap heap. No matter what, yet another disaster in the disastrous Team Formerly Known As Redskins Daniel Snyder-era. They should name them the Washington Redskins. I hear all the Native Americans in the area like that name the best.

Teamer and Patton are gone (Patton is a surprise at this juncture, Teamer isn’t after his PED suspension). Ready to start practices with the 80 man squad! Patton IS a surprise. He was tapped at about 3-4 on the depth chart. Sadly, we NEED some rookie WR's to come through now. I didn't like the depth quality, before. Patton isn't Jerry Rice but he was a Chargers system guy. Making me nervous.

One guy to keep an eye on, and isn't being talked about a lot is Nick Vigil. We signed him from the Bengals. On a really bad defense he had 111 combo tackles last year. He is already slotted in as a starting OLB for us.
Nose for the ball, look for him to be around tackles a lot.

Agree with those observations, but being cut before training camp even started is a surprise to me. I have a feeling that this is a sign that they are pretty high on 4th round pick Joe Reed for KR at the #3 WR spot. I say Reed over Hill because Lynn has made it clear that he wants speed at that position. Here is WR coach Phil McGeoghan breaking down film on Reed and Hill:

Sigh................I have failed to communicate this properly to you. I know that it is easier to just believe me, so I leave out boring details. The WR group makes me nervous with a lack of quality talent overall. The team must agree because they used 33.3% of their draft picks on WR's. (details bore me but driving that point home was enjoyable for me I must say) Because of Mike Williams under delivering (he couldn't find the endzone if he lined up in it) one could actually make the case there is Keenan Allen, and then we really drop off the cliff at WR. You mention that Patton is not very good, and that's exactly the point here. Not very good and he was up our depth chart. You are supposed to bring rookie's in to bolster the bottom of your position depth chart. At WR, we have rookies that are going to START. That's not ideal. We also signed FA Darius Jennings from Tennessee (further proof that we had a need at WR). He is a tremendous kick return guy. Those guys typically make up the bottom of your WR depth chart. I THINK HE IS BACKING UP KEENAN FREAKING ALLEN ON THE LEFT SIDE !!!!!!!!!!! Even if I give you Mike Williams. That is Allen and Williams, and it really really drops off there. Picture tired, giving breaks, and games off. Heaven forbid one or both got hurt. No, I have read all the signs here. I have seen enough. I trust my spidey sense. When I tell you it makes me nervous. you should be panicked.

Panic leads to error.
Mike Williams problem may have been PR. or maybe he just can't get open....

Mike Williams problem may have been PR. or maybe he just can't get open.... or maybe he's a Scorpio or maybe he needs a seeing eye dog for the endzone or maybe None of that is the point. The point is he is our NUMBER 2 WR currently !!! and established help is not to be found after him !! (spooky huh ?)

Now that PR is gone, Mike Williams gets a clean slate from me. We'll see if he can live up to all that potential and draft position... So far he has been mediocre at best with a few flashes.

Now that I have gloriously opened up eyeballs to the sleepy poo's........................................... Rookie Hill intrigues me..........being the career reception leader all-time at Ohio State is not chopped liver................. Can we see the making of Herbert/Hill string of connections ?

I have no problem with Mike. Love the big catches. The go-to guys are KA, Ek & Henry. In a new scheme with a new QB, the field is wide open for someone else to become a fav.
