This forum is dead. Two new posts on a day when the combine is going - yikes. Sorry it didn't work out but I'm out of here. I get the frustration Roo, but I do not see you posting, so you are as much a part of the problem you complain about. We have had more posts in the past month then we had during the season.

This forum is dead. Two new posts on a day when the combine is going - yikes. Sorry it didn't work out but I'm out of here. It's no big deal.....plenty of reasons for the slow, gasping for air, abandoned fans forum....in Roman numerals I) It's been the same 10-15 people that post since they shut down the old forum.... II) Some went to TPB III) Some just bailed completely when the Chargers left San Diego IV) More have left because of the owner and the GM....both of them have been proven to be "less than truthful" over the last 5 years V) More will or have already left since the last link to the "Real" Chargers moved his family out of Rancho Santa Fe VI) The Head Coach is not a leader of men and it shows by the continuous dysfunction of this team in all facets of the game. VII) The Future is as Clear as Mud....the running backs are a huge question mark, the QB is a huge question mark, the offensive line is not only a huge question mark but it's also offensive VIII) The Defense still cannot stop the run and with SO many needs on this roster any help on that front is merely a band aid and will get worse as players pack up and leave California IX) People are starting to realize that Karma is a real thing and the Cosmic Soul of this team has forever been damaged X) Even the most die hard Charger fans, I think there are a few left, refuse to waste their time or energy on this team when the entire NFL knows that this Ownership is the worst in the NFL.

While I like others here were impressed with Simmons I don't see the Chargers taking him even if he drops to 6. He is a mirror image of Derwin James who plays the hybrid safety/linebacker role in Bradley's system with Adderley playing the "centerfield" spot so drafting Simmons would be a luxury pick that would not improve the team as much as OT or QB in the 1st round. The safety positions are becoming quite blended, meaning FS and SS, so in that context consider how much James impacted play.....then add another James type in Simmons to the play. If, and it seems fair to categorize it as an if, Adderley actually plays up to his potential, then James and Simmons could be really dangerous. In the end, always add the better talent..... To me it comes down to with the fact that we need major upgrade to our OL as well as looking for the long term replacement for Rivers. (Tyrod could be a 1 year stopgap but not long term and who knows about Stick) I do believe it would be better to address those weak spots than draft Simmons to add to a position of strength. And yes much like Lamp last year by the time Adderley was healthy enough to play it was hard to get the coaches to commit to playing him over Phillips who was a known commodity. Remember when a season goes south like last year coaches are afraid to play younger players cause their jobs will be up for review at years end.

Well gang, I think Simmons is gone at 6 now. I really like Wills/Wirfs, yet could EASILY live with fourth choice out of the Oline litter. Since McNeil's, Dielman's injury retirements, I have been off and on all over the idea of fixing the Oline. How can we live with ourselves if we don't do something here ? Make Tyrod happy ! ATM it's Wills/Wirfs...Wirfs/Wills IMV. We need a dominate defense in the division of Mahomes... I hope New York and Detroit pass on him, but I think your right, he might be gone at 6. Oh ? When I said that I was having creamy sex with Mahomes. Did that sound the same as I typed it ?

FA signs can start 3/10. To me where the bolts go draft depends on FA I have taught you well LittleMod. I gives me satisfaction to see people learn.

ABSOLUTELY POST OF THE DAY. THAT is how you post folks. Wow was that awesome. (love Rome and Roman numerals. They just look fancier. Nobody on earth knows what is after 8. So its a well researched post too.)

Tom Brady solves most of this. I don't necessarily want, or not want, him. But he does solve most of this...............

This forum is dead. Two new posts on a day when the combine is going - yikes. Sorry it didn't work out but I'm out of here. Far from dead... We just have the same group of guys, which I have no problem with. Quality over quantity IMHO... Like disc says, contribute more and there you go.

When I said that I was having creamy sex with Mahomes. Did that sound the same as I typed it ? I agreed with you then as well. We failed to compete when Denver was the powerhouse and now we're failing to compete when KC is the dominate one. There are 2 Superbowl winners from our division in the last decade, time to grow a pair Spanos...

If you cut Melvin Gordon, you can go right back to Wisconsin for his replacement Jonathan Taylor-RB
Went over 6000 yards at Wisconsin, and just ran a 4.3 forty at the combine.
TT, Pay the Man !!!

Scouts on Simmons:
He plays too high.
What you saw at Combine does not transition over to the field.
