I am so torn and have so many opinions on everything that has gone down: 1. If the Bolts truly made an offer for Brady it is a slap in the face to Rivers (and fans), basically saying no more Rivers but our replacement is a Rivers esque QB who is a lesser, declining, older, more expensive, and hated version to sell more tickets to whom? opposing fans? because I would have stopped going along with other fans in my opinion. 2. I would love to of seen Rivers with this new O Line. 3. I hope Rivers wanted out instead of Chargers not wanting him, I hope the Chargers didn't offer Brady a contract but it sounds like they did. 4. Next QB I'm so unsure and torn on. Part of me wants it to be Stick but that won't work for a while. Part of me says maybe Andy Dalton?? Jameis since he got Lasik surgery and will throw zero picks now that he can see? I'd personally like to get Alex Smith for like a 7th rounder since his numbers in K.C. were the same as Mahommes numbers in K.C. I don't want to draft a QB unless it is the next sure thing, like the next Manning, there are no sure things this year and the top ones will either be gone or not worth trading up for. I hope LB Simmons is there at 6. I'd roll with Alex Smith and JJ & EK at RB's, hopefully 6th round 2018 pick Dylan Cantrell WR starts, get a good LT and DT and that team seems the most solid with the amount of money we could spend. Brother, they must have had the same practice jersey number because that would be the only number that's the same. I'll stop there because I like you. You are such a good fan. I thank you for posting Alex Smith and Andy Dalton's names. We had forgotten about those guys and that is a great catch on your part. Well done.

Thank God Brady was smart enough to stay away from the Bolts...... yep. signed with the bucks. On Tuesday, Tom Brady announced publicly he was leaving the New England Patriots. And he's leaving them to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington reported Brady is expected to sign with the Bucs. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the sides have agreed in principle on a deal worth around $30 million annually. It's the end of an era. The 42-year-old Brady won six titles (in nine Super Bowl trips), four Super Bowl MVPs and three league MVPs, and he was a 14-time Pro Bowler during his time in New England. He also led the Patriots to a whopping 17 AFC East titles and 17 playoff berths. Old Tom Brady was finally going to get his 30 million dollars a year no matter what team he had to go to. He deserves it after taking lower to help the Patriots. Tampa Bay better use all 7 rounds on defense because the one they have now sucks hardcore. Do they have any Cap space left to buy some defense ?

The chase of Brady seems more like a PR stunt of the Spanos's and not TT's idea. Now that wet dream is passed TT can get on with what he should have been doing from the start. Looking at Cap Management it seems clear that they intend now to go with the cheaper option of starting the season with Taylor after drafting a young cost controlled QB and not spending on an older QB be it Dalton, Winston or Newton. With Buckner getting 21 mil expect Bosa to start in the 23-25 range so we need to budget that in to future cap The pursuit of Brady seems disingenuous to me, as I do not believe Spanos would ever ok the cost, nor do I believe Brady would seriously entertain the idea of playing for the Charger organization. The pursuit worked for both sides, be it PR for the Bolts, or leverage for Brady. I think Bosa will get a good bit more.....unless he has a poor year this season, then your number seems about right.

According to Jim Trotter of NFL Media, the reason Brady wasn't interested in signing with the Chargers is due to "family considerations." Basically, it seems like Brady's family wouldn't be making the move with him, and since they're based on the East Coast, moving all the way out to Los Angeles would make it difficult for Brady to see his family once the NFL season started. Unless there's a "change of heart" from Brady, the Chargers don't feel like they'll be landing the veteran quarterback.

— Safety Tre Boston agrees to re-sign with the Panthers on a three-year deal worth $18 million with $9.5 million in year one.
