Good defenses create turnovers. in 2018 the Chargers were 15th in the league getting the ball. Last year, they were 31st. With the talent we have on that side of the ball those numbers are pathetic and point out a major flaw in his passive philosophy. Not only is 31st absolutely horrible, it has to change for 2020. It's an obvious fact that taking care of the ball on offense and getting takeaways on D is a key to getting W's. Being top 5 should be possible for the 2020 Chargers and will support a playoff run.

Nobody is paying him right now. The problem is with the crisis no one can work him out or give him a physical. Until that happens, he has no value. Nahhh, a contract contingent on several factors could easily be drafted. He will sign with someone by the end of the week, bank on it.

Bradley had amazing defenses in Seattle. He built what would become a very good defense in Jax. The Chargers have been a good defensive team for the most part. If there’s one coach on the staff I trust, it’s Bradley. Good defenses create turnovers. in 2018 the Chargers were 15th in the league getting the ball. Last year, they were 31st. With the talent we have on that side of the ball those numbers are pathetic and point out a major flaw in his passive philosophy. In 2018 the D got 20 takeaways, in 2019 they got 30% fewer (14).
In 2018 the O had 19 giveaways, in 2019 they had 61% more (31). Both sides struggled with starters out/ injuries.
The offense struggled less successfully.

Lots of upside to signing Cam. Could be he’s broken and can’t beat out Tyrod, but could be he channels his rage at losing his job to that turd Bridgewater and returns to form. Make it so.

You can tell me the punter had 7 turnovers, it ain't changing the horror of being 31st on defense in takeaways.

Clear a physical and I may endorse him.............. Thats fair and I agree... Pass a physical, get medical clearance, and attend all phases of training camp in coordination with the trainers. Then I would not hesitate to sign him...

As for the weird turnover debate, I feel obliged to say your stats are worth less than a roll of toilet paper from Costco.

We should hear through the press if the Bolts are talking to Cam. (after release) If they are and sign him, I would think they are not going QB with 6. Right now it looks like they are looking at QB with 6. If they land CAM they will not have to trade up to get Tua.

Maybe.....but Fig joins Jameis as former starters looking for a job. Maybe they should call Bridgewater, find out is gets done.

I get the feeling the Bolts want to fix the QB need in a long term fashion at this point, which would preclude signing an injury prone vet QB. I think QB at 6th is likely, IF Tua or Herbert is there.....if both are off the board, expect an OT. I really want Simmons, but truly expect him to go 3rd over all.

Cam Newton is the ultimate front runner and if things are all peachy he will find the camera and be all lovey dovey but when it goes south, and it will go south, he will put a towel on his head and sulk and disappear. He will throw his team mates and coaches under the bus in a heartbeat. He only cares about one thing and that's himself getting his money
