Cam Newton is the ultimate front runner and if things are all peachy he will find the camera and be all lovey dovey but when it goes south, and it will go south, he will put a towel on his head and sulk and disappear. He will throw his team mates and coaches under the bus in a heartbeat. He only cares about one thing and that's himself getting his money He has two big trophies that Philip lacks. He’s been to the big dance and he was an MVP. Also, he is beloved with Panther fans. Hateraide notwithstanding.

Nahhh, a contract contingent on several factors could easily be drafted. He will sign with someone by the end of the week, bank on it. Maybe.....but Fig joins Jameis as former starters looking for a job. Maybe they should call Bridgewater, find out is gets done. Did I tell you Bridgewater would be sought after in FA ? Did I tell you he's about to get paid ? New Orleans THIRD stringer is said to be of starter material !!! That's a nice "problem" to have.

I have no idea what your thoughts were on Bridgewater, and they matter little. He did well enough in NOLA to get a nice contract. How that works out is yet to be determined. Having solid talent deep into the roster is never a problem.

The Cowboys are reported to be talking to Cam... Leverage against Dak I would assume, but talking nonetheless.

Same... it seems almost silly and desperate on Jerry's end.

I just wanted to let you know calling Cam “Fig” to mock him because of his last name is both unique and hilarious. This level of wit is usually reserved for middle school playgrounds. Thank you for raising the bar.

In 2018 the D got 20 takeaways, in 2019 they got 30% fewer (14).
In 2018 the O had 19 giveaways, in 2019 they had 61% more (31). Both sides struggled with starters out/ injuries.
The offense struggled less successfully.
You can tell me the punter had 7 turnovers, it ain't changing the horror of being 31st on defense in takeaways. Agreed. Just pointing out that the offense regressed more in ball protection than D in takeaways from 2018-2019. It was a team effort.

I'm seeing several articles touting the Chargers as the best spot for Cam Newton. Much of the normal stuff like: Lynn likes mobile QBs, the team moving to a new stadium needs a charismatic star, Cam is only a few years from an MVP season, etc..
I never gave much consideration to Cam Newton previously because I absolutely did not want to give up any draft picks to acquire him in a trade.
But now that he's a free agent, I'm thinking it may not be turribull.
But before I waste any time over-analyzing this... do the Bolts even have the cap space to add him???
