From what I have heard, this was a gesture to his mother who complained to Phil about it. I (for one) absolutely loved it!!

Haven’t watched it yet, but rookie Breiden Fehoko leading the squad in a haka.

Justin Herbert had some nice moments. Lynn: “we got a mobile quarterback!”

Wish we could see him in a pre season game I’d love to see him in action. His father Vili was Vili the Warrior for University of Hawaii games from 2000 - 2012. Former Chargers and then Hawaii head coach June Jones had seen Vili at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and then convinced Vili to perform at Rainbow Warriors home games. This is a nice article that shows a young Breiden dressed with his father as a young boy at a home game. www.chargers.com/news/breiden-fehoko-dad-s-influence-junior-seauAnd his family members doing a haka for him on LSU Senior Night:

Ok I watched up until the protest garbage... The part with Breiden Feihoko was awesome and I hope he makes it. They also showed Lynval Joseph working with him and teaching him up, it was good to see.

Thoughts watching it now:
- About 5 minutes into the latest episode, it shows the play that MDub was injured on, and it's just as I imagined it: falls heavily on the right shoulder after he stretched out and dove for the pass. AC separation without a doubt (Lynn asks AC joint when he first comes over), but thankfully it's a lower grade as he hasn't been wearing a sling. I expect him to be kept out of opening week as a precaution, but hopefully he'll be ready when the schedule hits the road in Weeks 3 & 4.
Typical Chargers luck: just a few minutes earlier, Lynn had the players strip off their pads for no-impact practice. In this instance, shoulder pads would likely have lessened the injury.
- Rookie Van Jefferson with the Rams is the son of Shay-J (Shawn Jefferson), WR on the 1994 Super Bowl Chargers.
- Love the full Fehoko segment! Gotta believe that he makes the practice squad at a minimum.
- Seeing a healthy DJ really depressed me.

Watching the cuts segment is always interesting... One observation though, they were getting really lax on the mask wearing. Fehoko didn't wear his correctly at all ever and TT didn't wear one at all.

The Derwin injury really looked like nothing happened. In an instant we lost one of our most dynamic defensive players.

They did it anyway and ate the 15 yards.
