That's how we got Herbert... It was either him or a new water boy. Give credit where it is deserved, the Bolts made a great call in picking Herbert. I would have gone Simmons, who is a solid player, but nowhere near the value found in a franchise QB. It’s starting to look like no matter who they picked at QB, would have been a great pick. They had to go QB and the choice was made for TT

Tua is on a team that has all 3 units playing good football. Tua is doing what he is told: MANAGE the game. Good for him, but he has been sheltered by the coaching.

Tua was your preference.......not Herbert. ok.....................................kind of a can't miss situation if you know what you're doing. All three of the rookie QBs picked in the first six picks of this draft have been playing well, so I agree with the "can't miss situation" thing. But here's my problem- Anthony Lynn would have missed if Tyrod wasn't stabbed on the sideline by our expert medical staff. Lynn would've been loyal to Taylor and Herbert wouldn't be the cream of the crop he's become despite being the last of the three to be picked. Sad for Taylor for sure, but the point is Herbert's talent would have been ignored by Lynn who blindly follows a preset course of action and is inflexible to a San Andreas sized fault. (See the lack of halftime adjustments in our last game... or the game before that... or the one before that... or the one before that, ad nauseum)

I on the other hand preferred Herbert over Tua, if I had to take one of them. I freely acknowledged my preference was Simmons, which would have had me passing on what appears to be a franchise QB in Herbert, and a huge mistake on my part.

You have to have the QB position correctly predicted in the draft for me to even read this. The fact that they were going first round QB was glaringly glaringly obvious to me.

Huge mistake on his part.
