His other brother is already with him on the Bucks. Plus, the Bucks can pay him $83 million more than any other team with sufficient cap space can even offer. Good luck Wasn’t that ur argument with Kawhi?

Good luck Wasn’t that ur argument with Kawhi? If Kawhi is going to be used as the measuring stick of normalcy, then the NBA is overrun by weirdos. Unless you think AD isn’t coming back (at a max salary), you can give up the pipe dream of the Lakers having enough cap space for Giannis. If you think he’s leaving his super-max extension on the table, to play on the Lakers for cheap with his G-League brother, then you are funnier than I thought...

Talking $$, Gordon Hayward got $120m for 4 years!!! There are guys I’ve never heard of getting $20m a year. NBA is cray cray The Gordon Hayward situation gets even better. Charlotte didn't have enough cap space to (over)pay that contract, so had to work out a sign-and-trade with Boston, as opposed to just signing him as a FA. So Boston gets the largest trade exception in NBA History (over $28 million) to their salary cap, all because a guy opted out of his contract. Some organizations just never lose. Hayward ends up the big winner of the situation by getting paid well beyond what he deserves, Boston comes in second place by getting a nice salary cap exception for essentially losing a FA, and Charlotte is the unquestionable loser by paying an inflated bill to acquire a semi-star.

Not let their stars go to the Clippers and have zero chance at Repeat.

My first NBA post in a while. Enjoy! In other news, totally unrelated to the above linked video, the Clippers give Paul “Pandemic P” George a Max Extension. Side Note - I have already reported myself for this post.

Clippers set up for a huge letdown.
Short off-season for teams in the bubble. Others have been off for 9 months!!!

Clippers set up for a huge letdown. Short off-season for teams in the bubble. Others have been off for 9 months!!! 6 of the 8 teams that had the long layoff can take another 9 months off, and it won’t make much difference (to them). The other 2 may be in the hunt for a low playoff see (if it doesn’t take them 3 months to get back in sync). I guess if there is another team dumb enough to trade for Pandemic P, at least the Clippers will get maximum return value in the trade. But other than that, extending the guy who (just a few months earlier) many pointed the finger at for the bubble meltdown, for the longest term and most money possible makes very little sense. Reward him to the max, for being an underachiever, that should boost his motivation to step up his game...

The deal only makes sense if they think he is essential to keeping Kawhi. Let’s see how Denver comes along and whether Golden State can come back. The West will be tough again. In the East, the Nets will be interesting
