And Freak - calling the Suns “average” for years is the best compliment anyone could give them. They were far below average. Sub .500 last year and sub .300 the 4 seasons before that. Last playoff appearance in 2010. Sorry, carry on with amateur hour... So... like a quarter of the Eastern conference playoff qualifiers every year? Uh....ouch ?? I have no idea what point you are trying to make, even if your claim was accurate. Mine was that Freak diminished his own story by not having facts straight...

Geez, Where do I start Jokic is well past the “budding superstar” status. This was his 3rd straight All Star appearance, will be be 3rd straight All-NBA Team election, and he just won his 1st MVP Award. He was also a major player in the WC Finals last year as well. I’d say Luka is beyond that status as well, but a first round playoff exit, isn’t exactly “taking over” now is it ? It’s Deandre Ayton, but I can understand getting a guys name wrong who you probably just heard about for the first time two weeks ago...and yes him & Devin Booker are in the playoffs for the first time in their careers, and have won a single playoff series so far. What’s “The Wolf’s” famous line from Pulp Fiction ?....”let’s not start suc....” eh, Nevermind. And Freak - calling the Suns “average” for years is the best compliment anyone could give them. Oh I’m super surprised you still follow the game now that the Raptors one and done Kawhi delivered miracle season is over and they couldn’t crack the the playoffs this year. Tell me again about Siakam? You notice he didn’t make the list? What do you mean “still” follow the game ? You never gave me credit for following the game before, so I don’t see why you should start now. Of course Siakam didn’t make your list, he wasn’t in one of the 3 games you watched this year, so how could he be amongst those that are “taking over” ? The more I see teams (like the Nets) going to extreme lengths to try and get a Championship, the better I feel about my Raptors team that did it with no lottery picks on the roster., and many key players either being mainstays (Lowry) or their own home grown talent (VanVleet, Powell, Siakam). Yeah they had a rough year, which included having zero home games this season. If you paid attention to the season prior to the playoffs, you’d know that this was far from a typical NBA season as a whole, it was ridiculous actually...

Below average makes their story that much neater. That is 100% what I was pointing out.

Any season that the Lakers aren’t in the finals is ridiculous. But yes the schedule was horrible and the shortened off season even worse for teams that played deep. Denver would be in a much better position if Jamal Murray was available, You can feel good about your once in a lifetime title with no lottery picks but you did have that one big time FA who basically delivered the title.

Something that I could only dream of saying as a Charger fan.

Phoenix has been lucky to face the Lakers without AD and Denver without Jamal Murray. Still they look good

I haven't followed the NBA in almost 15 years... I feel like it is a whole other game now.

I haven't followed the NBA in almost 15 years... I feel like it is a whole other game now. There are a few dozen more 3’s taken per game, defense has mostly been abolished, guys like Rik Smits are extinct and social media has changed things a tad....but besides that, I’d say it’s almost identical.

It’s less physical and gritty and Stephen Curry probably did the most to open the game up to long range shooters. The Magic era Lakers, Bird Celtics, Jordan Bulls and Shaq-Kobe era Lakers would still rule today

I’ve never been up to debates that involve fantasizing about players in different eras, and only taking certain things into consideration...one thing I will tell you though is it was no easy task holding back the tears, when it became official that the Brooklyn Ringchasers didn’t make it past the 2nd round 😭

Of course it’s not a discussion with you. You only started watching when the Raptors got good 😌 C’mon, get it straight, I didn’t start watching the NBA until the Raptors were up 3-1 in the NBA Finals. The truth is, I don’t wanna discuss it, because I can’t think of who would be the 2021 equivalents of Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Darvin Ham. Therefore I’m not sure if there is a team that would steamroll the Shaq/Kobe Lakers in the Finals in the present day. I would have no problem with Durant & Joe Harris getting a ring this year, it’s most of the others that I wouldn’t want to see it for, including Kyrie...
