How much coffee did you have before you posted this? I have seen your subsequent posts and withdraw the question as it is self evident. Relax man. Have a gummy A "gummy" of what ? It has different meanings in different eras. eg... 2008: here Ryan Leaf, have a "gummy." 2019: here Josh Gordon, have a "gummy."

I’m guessing Freak’s crashed out now after that morning jag dreaming of Kenneth Murray. What’s the frequency Kenneth?

Julio Jones is on the trading block... I'd rather get him. Anyone who played fantasy football the past few years is VERY upset with Julio Jones! But seriously, I don't see a need for him here. Would I have loved to have him in his prime regardless of the other WRs on our team, heck yes. But WR wasn't a need BEFORE* the draft and it is even less of one now. And at this stage with his age and injuries I can't trust him. (See line one again) So I wouldn't want to spend something- a player or draft pick- to acquire Julio Jones. And I wouldn't want to pay him his superstar salary. He earned his money, nothing against him for that, but it's too much for me at this point for salary cap reasons. *Somebody on the CMB may have predicted we did, in fact, need a WR ... but I doubt it.

How much cap space do the boltz have left to spend? The interweb says 1.8m or 30m. I was under the impression that TT still has some bank left to spend. If so, some one year rental beef rotating in on the DL would help them survive 17 games.

I believe there’s about $10M or so cushion for picking up camp cuts, injury replacements/depth, contract restructuring, and rollover.

Atlanta won’t trade him unless a very high draft pick is offered in return for the 32 year old WR who suffered an injury-plagued 2020 season. I live 4 miles from the Falcon's facility. My son's middle school is literally across the street from it. The Falcon's are in cap hell. They don't have enough space to sign all their rookies yet. They drafted Pitt's instead of Justin Fields because they think they can still win Matt Ryan. Ryan and Julio eat up half of their cap space. They have to move one and on draft day it became clear which it would be. They are just wanting until June 1. My guess is that they get pennies on the dollar. The Falcons got a 2nd round pick when they traded 30-year-old Mohamed Sanu in 2019. I expect that they’ll get at least that from somebody for Julio Jones.

Yes, I think Murray is worth the trade up cost. Clearly you do not. I agree with Disc on Murray being worth the trade up. Don't look at this trade as "giving up a second round draft pick"- Murray WAS our second pick, just as a second rounder would've been. We only gave up a THIRD round pick to move up and get him. So is the #23 player worth the #37 and #71... yeah, highly likely. Murray had 107 tackles, one sack and three pass deflections. The two players selected at those other spots combined for 80 tackles, one sack and zero other stats. (I know there are tons of variables beyond stats like positions and teams but still.) Plus we get a fifth year option. Lastly, to those saying he wasn't all that last year- he was a rookie! No matter the draft capital, no one should expect a rookie to play lights out (although Herbert did ). Top picks are spent on players who have the traits that can be developed- their ceilings, not just how they play currently- their floors. And despite last year's coaches inability to develop players, Murray did get better as the season went on and is poised to step up even more. I am excited to see him play this year, and I'll eat these words if he isn't a- I'll dare say it- pro bowl caliber player! You just agreed that he was not all that last year. That's the whole point. If he WAS our second pick, then who was the third pick ? That was draft capital, gone. Another rostered drafted player, gone.

At least we are giving Mike Williams 15 million dollars a year. So there's that.

I love how I state Murray did not have a good year last year, and suddenly I hate him. I have even been asked if I want to release him ?!?!?!!? Of course that came from the goalie so you can imagine how much that means.
Its like twisto world in here. VERY amusing to me. Good job !
He didn't have a good year, and I am praying he takes off this year. It starts with being in better positions/ reading early. God forbid he reads pre-snap.
