I do not agree with your evaluation. Regardless, MW's actual numbers will be a strong influence on how the club decides the future. With a completely new coaching staff coming in (fingers crossed eh), it would be interesting if there is a strong advocate for him, or none at all. If the Bolts release MW, I suspect he gets picked up quickly, with no loss in pay. I now feel great about my evaluation. Missed games with glass injuries, dropped balls, couldn't find the endzone if there was no defense on the field. Suck TD numbers. 7th overall pick ?? yeah................................. In FOUR YEARS he has 16 TD's..................... BOOM>>> time to move on

Mike Williams has nearly as many interceptions as he has touchdowns this year.
It will take just one more interception for him to match his 2019 touchdown production.
Wrap your head around that for a minute.

He's a phone thrower. We need that kind of passion and demand for perfection.

If saving money is your goal... cut Mike Williams ($15.6 mil) and get a WR in round 1. Or draft a WR in the 3rd... most of those guys can catch as many passes as MW... The Bolts spend to the cap, or close to it, so it isn't so much as saving money as it is just shifting it around. My goal would be to dramatically improve the talent in the OL group. When that is accomplished, see where the focus needs to be (RB, WR or TE). Then there is always the other side.....defence has big needs as well. James and Bosa seem quite talented at being injured, as are several others. The puzzle is not easy to build. Trust me, you and I are on the same page... fix the !@#$% OL. I'm just looking for bloated contracts to eliminate so I can get my hands on some cash and buy me a FA lineman. What if you could shuttle MW's contract and Trai Turner's contract ($27 million savings, no cap hit) and buy center Corey Linsley ($8.5 mil) and Sammy Watkins ($9.5 mil)...? Would you do it...? Of course you would. Everyone would! And you'd have $9 million left over to resign Hunter Henry or Michael Davis...

And if you think Casey Hayward and Chris Harris are done (and not just victims of a non-existent pass-rush)... cut them too. You could save $8.75 million by cutting Hayward and $7.5 million by cutting Harris. Go sign Cameron Sutton ($7 mil) and Mike Hilton ($7 mil) and use the savings on re-signing Jenkins...

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how much he wants... PFF (for what that's worth) has him rated a little lower than Sutton and Hilton. 6 million...? 7 million...?

Speculating on who will become, and who will not become free agents is quite fun, but those you mention will be sought after, so likely resigned. Releasing the players you talk about might be wise for the Bolts, but remember it all comes down to best guessing by TT/Spanos.....I am certain you can recall players released that have gone to new club and exceeded all previous personal statistics. So I say let's see exactly what OL guys are actually available, then discuss the 'why' are they available, the decide how to put the puzzle together. Basically play the TT/Spanos roles.....only no ramifications!

I do think the injuries and poor play are in correlation to a degree. I also think lack of belief in leadership (Lynn) assisted in much of the stupid that seemed to follow this club from game to game. How much is the big question......

Basically play the TT/Spanos roles.....only no ramifications! Speculation IS fun. In these instances, I picked on teams with really bad cap situations for next year (Packers, Chiefs, and Steelers). With the Covid-induced salary cap reduction, there will be 10-14 teams that will have a real hard time retaining their FA's. In fact, 10 of them will have to cut/trade some of their current roster to become cap feasible by draft day. I suspect it will be a buyers' market. The top 8 or 9 top teams (cap wise) may have a productive off-season. Certainly the very top teams (Jaguars, Jets, Patriots, Colts) will have an advantage over us. I'd target the center position as my PON. Jaguars and Patriots probably re-sign their FA centers. Jets and Colts already have good centers on board.

Everything you said but that... Hard pass on Watkins. I firmly believe only a guy like Andy Reid could get production out of him, he is an aging WR that is average at best.
