Now that Lynn is gone—thankfully—I’ll take a closer look at some of the specific candidates. In the meantime, at present, I’d express my preferences generally, ranked in this order: 1) Someone with at least 3 seasons of NFL HC experience, preferably with at least 51% winning seasons that showed the ability to adapt strategy and tactics to personnel, strong leadership, and high football intelligence. Ex: Belichick, Harbaugh, Del Rio, Caldwell 2) Someone with significant HC experience, preferably with at least some winning seasons that showed the ability to adapt strategy and tactics to personnel, strong leadership, and high football intelligence. Ex: David Shaw, Brian Kelly 3) Someone with significant NFL senior staff (coordinator) coaching experience, preferably with at least 2 seasons of strongly performing team units (offense, special teams, defense) that showed the ability to build and execute a coherent strategy and tactics, strong leadership, and high football intelligence. Ex: Daboll, Toub, Saleh, Smith, Bieniemy This is a great take. Hard pass on Number 3. Been there done that--repeatedly. Mike McCoy and I don't like it anymore. Daboll is from Canada, so I like him already.....but being from Toronto makes me much less excited.

Ruggs...MIA. Are you happy now Sir ? Careful what you wish for. I'm not MIA. I was right on top of it. It's in the "Anthony Lynn Has Been Fired" thread: Jan 4, 2021 8:48:30 GMT -8It's not so much that I am "happy" about it - I just viewed it as being inevitable. I keep pointing to the photo from a month ago that whispers "I see dead people" from The Sixth Sense or yells "Dead Man Walking!!" from The Green Mile. Attachments:

I did like how they wrote this is a results driven business and the last two years have fallen short of expectations. That is exactly correct. NOW-----what the hell are you going to do about it. Great press release, but you have got to follow through.

Happy Ruggs and his favorite uplifting movies. Me like. BTW I know the title of that Deep Purple song.

Wow! Jags have some serious capital to play with, both in cap space and draft picks. I can see why Meyer would be willing to take their 12 million dollars to build and then coach that club.

They are planning to interview too many people. That tells me they don’t have a very specific idea of what they are looking for or have done any meaningful pre qualifying. What were we thinking? It’s the chargers. They have an attractive opening but will screw this up
