It’s only a possible option other than directly trading the 13th pick outright if teams are hesitant to trade their 1st round pick and pay a huge extension during a year where the salary cap has shrunk by 10%. How are the cap-hemorrhaging Steelers going to manage that? If they’re going to trade Brown to an arch rival, then the arch rival is going to have to overpay by a good amount. Am I the only one who thinks it is better to draft an Oline around Herbert that can grow with him long term? Regardless if TT is capable of drafting a competent oline or not? I feel like these patchwork players, regardless of their youth (Brown) is not the answer...

I’d also look for a FA center and draft a ton of OL this draft. |

Honestly it comes down to hopeful promise that the correct drafted player will be what we all hope vs proven in the NFL trenches which is why I would prefer Brown at only 24 has 2 pro bowls.

The manner in which he has become available is the big question mark for me, just doesn't sit right. Our track record for FA oline is no better than draft, but the FA cost more and have a bigger impact when not available IMHO. Maybe Brown would be a great player, perhaps he is different than the rest, I guess we'll see...
