DRAFT DAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I secretly want a WR.
I know the value of OT.
If we get a corner, get Surtain.
If I was MADE to pick, I think Slater is our guy.

Here's to the Chargers having a transformational draft...enjoy. Chargers trading up for Kellen Winslow Sr was tops in my book. #20, #47 to CLE. #13 to SD. Coryell scheme transformational prospect. You sound like a supporter of moving up to get Pitts.......

I want to move up and get Sewell... Or stay put and get Slater or Darrisaw. If we go any other position I want a CB, Surtain or Horn.

Someone mentioned the Herschel Walker trade, and that one really stands out but in my book THE best trade of all time has to the Ricky Williams trade!
Mike Ditka and the Saints gave up 8 picks, including two 1st rounders, to Washington to move up from #12 in the draft to #5.
He traded away EVERY one of his picks in that draft for one player!!! (And two more the next year including the #2 overall pick!)
That is awesome folks!
Maybe the criteria for "Greatest Trade in NFL History" is how successful the player traded up for becomes, so Mahommes and others are mentioned.... but I would argue that would be "Greatest STEAL or VALUE Trade of All Time".
Just hearing the phrase "NFL trade" and I instantly picture Mike Ditka smoking a cigar and shutting it down for the weekend because he made one pick and his draft day/weekend was OVER!
And then there were all those memes of Ditka in deadlocks and Ricky in a wedding dress!
Iconic!

I’m not sure those were memes, they literally posed for those pictures on purpose, Dikta later said he wasn’t aware that ricky would comeout in a dress but he was wearing a wedding tux wasn’t he? I’m not sure mike was being honest later when he got blow back from all that nonsense, LOL

Aside from being out of the sewell sweepstakes the chargers are actually in one of the better draft positions in this draft. They’d almost have to purposefully blow the top pick, they could literally throw a dart blindfolded and get an awesome player like ANY one of the guys you listed there

I think TT takes the highest rated talent (rated by the Bolts), and my guess is that player is not an OT.

I disagree, of the 3 OLinemen that should be around at #13, jenkins, AVT, and potentially darrisaw, I don’t think the top corners overtake any of them as a BPA. These corners have a ton of flags. Surtain is stiff and lacks elite speed, he’s no shutdown corner, the ramsey comparisons are totally bogus. Horn is actually really raw and his tackling is suspect, which is kind of concerning especially in light of the fact his father played in the NFL. I read both of those corners are lacking tape in a key NFL type of coverage, I forgot what it was but some teams are concerned that the way they were used in college is not compatible with some of the skills that both will need in the NFL. AVT, jenkins, and darrisaw don’t have those type of concerns and are much much safer picks, the chargers need a hit, they need starters. So at some point you have to factor in the probablity of starting day one and higher floor into your BPA formula, it all factors in.

I think that would be a mistake, Cosmi has potential but at right tackle (short arms) and is still developing his functional strength and pass blocking. Cosmi is a year away from starting at RT or G for an NFL team, his stock has really plummeted in the last few weeks. I don’t like leatherwood but I’d take him over cosmi if I need someone to play right away.

I have felt the Bolts like some OT they think will be there in round two, allowing themselves the freedom to take their BPA in round one. Who that OT is, I have little idea, and even less belief in their abilities. TT best not miss, because nobody is seeing a year of Pipkins as a good option.

Is your evaluation that the three OL guys are the higher talent, or safer pick when considering the Bolts' needs? If TT has a plan for OT, then it will not shock me if pick 13 is a WR, CB or even the ILB Parsons.....heck they might even go Edge. It all comes down to their plan for an OT solution.

AVT is being slotted as IOL. How do you see the OL with AVT as the pick?

Cosmi or Leatherwood might not even be available without trading back in to round 1.
