BUT,,,,,,,,,,we don't have to guess anymore. The proof is done. Sewell went 7th, Slater 13th, and Darrisaw all the way to 23rd. There is real and concrete differences there. 7th to 23rd is another world in NFL draft terms. My evaluations still stand, I believe Darrisaw will be the far better OT over any other OT's that were drafted after Slater. Reality is nobody can make firm judgements on how these players' careers will be at this point. Talk in a year or two, eh? As far as your "There is real and concrete differences there." comment, mistakes abound in the draft, just look at who the Dolphins could have had instead of Tua. There are 3 phases in draft world. If you could learn to discern between them it would really help. 1. Pre-draft. Evaluations, mocks, rankings, projections. 2. The actual draft, and where players are actually drafted at. 3. The players career. Rookie year, mid-years, end years.

NFL draft much more finished player, and straight to the top level they go.....as you Americans say 'sink or swim time'.......

Rightfully so, as it was a poor comparison on many levels, which were all explained to you. (oh that's not going to end well) No worries, as me and AF are homies (I have no idea what that actually is)......

I just really wanted Sewell or Slater... Anybody else I would have been compared with Fluker. TT will never cease to receive ridicule from me for the Fluker and Mager picks... Much love.

So looking back on this 2021 draft
Slater looks like a winner (instant contributor)
Samuel looks like a winner (instant contributor)
Palmer looks like a winner (one of the best route runners at senior bowl practice) (might contribute as a rookie)
McKitty looks like a winner (highest rated TE at senior bowl practice) (might contribute as a rookie)
Rumph looks like a very promising project (anti-pipkins) (outside chance to contribute as a rookie) I was wrong about this pick
Jaimes looks like a winner (one of top rated linemen at the senior bowl) (might even get a few starts as a rookie)
Nieman looks like solid pick up that could develop into a very good special teamer/backup inside linebacker quality depth
Roundtree looks like a winner (one of the highest rated RBs at the senior bowl catching, pass protecting, and running between the tackles at the senior bowl) (should play as a rookie)
Webb looks like a winner (one of the highest rated safeties at the senior bowl) (might see playing time as a rotational piece an defense and for sure on special teams) (has potential to develop into a starter!) you can’t say that about your 7th rounder very often

(oh that's not going to end well) No worries, as me and AF are homies (I have no idea what that actually is)...... Homie, slang for homeboy or homegirl which is also slang for a person that grew up in your hood which is slang for your neighborhood. In an Urban environment these are people that would most likely join the same gang as you but I never joined a gang and was still called homie by guys that I grew up with that knew me from growing up in the same hood. There was a respect there for coming up together which is slang for shared up bringing experiences like going to the same schools or buying bolos from the same ice cream trucks or playing at the same arcades or eating at the same taco shops etc. you and AF cannot be homies if you stick to the original definition, but like most language these terms have gone from being underground ghetto slang terms to things that have become part of pop culture and are used by a larger population and eventually has taken on different meanings. For instance, I think most people’s modern interpretation is probably calling someone a homie in jest when they have a lot in common, are friends even tho they only met recently and from different areas, or simply to be friendly and inclusive. so it’s okay for you guys to be homies in spirit even if you come from different parts of the world.

^^^ Isn’t there a very similar term in Boston or parts of the UK (townies) that means something similar? I’ll have to do some research on that

I’ll have to do some research on that I thought townies in Boston references someone who grew up in a particular neighborhood. And not a good one. I could be wrong. Ask the goalie, he loves Boston. Just loves it.

I am never using that term again, as it clearly is outside my French upbringing. I will just call us friends.....seems so much more apropos.

I don't believe the ratings between 1st and 3rd OT's was that great of a difference, and truly believe if Slater had been off the board, Darrisaw would have very much been in consideration by TT. Raiders and Leatherwood.....who knows, might have been great pick by them, might not. Similar to TT's Palmer pick, might prove to be an incredibly smart pick, might not.....time will tell, eh? BUT,,,,,,,,,,we don't have to guess anymore. The proof is done. Sewell went 7th, Slater 13th, and Darrisaw all the way to 23rd. There is real and concrete differences there. 7th to 23rd is another world in NFL draft terms. only in terms of money. The draft is a crap shoot. Most of the time the player is just that crap. i'm sure there are thousands of instances where players picked lower lasted longer in the league and did well.
