Watched that crazy ass game last night to scout the raiders and I think I underestimated Bradley’s impact there, he has improved the defense by leaps and bounds. Crosby and endakweigh were getting a ton of pressure although it looks like raven offensive line has declined some. Their left tackle Stanley is coming back from a significant injury and villanueva is probably nothing more than a stop gap for the ravens until they find someone in 2022 draft.
On the other side of the ball, leatherwood is making the raiders look good for taking him when everyone (including me) laughed at them., I don’t know what his PFF grade for last night was but he impressed me both in pass protection and in the run game. I don’t think I’ll continue calling them picking leatherwood at 17 a reach now, especially considering how much penei sewell has struggled in detroit. Getting a good looking starter at RT with the #17 pick is not a reach especially when that player has the skills and experience to slide over to LT if anything happens to miller.

Damn, how have the prime time games been to start the season? 3 out of 4 have been wild!!!
No shine taken off the win on Sunday IMO. Take it from me, an NFC East rivalry matchup is every bit as intense (if not more) than the AFC West rivalries.

Jason Garrett pulled a page from Anthony Lynn's playbook. take over after an interception , run 3 times only taking 16 sec off the clock , kick a field goal for a 2 point lead with a full 2 min to go.

You could say this. You could also say they never would have had that opportunity were it not for the absolutely idiotic WFT 2nd down pass call resulting in the pick.

Did the chargers win expose ways for attacking the WFT defense or has new york always put up that many points on that defense?

Did the chargers win expose ways for attacking the WFT defense or has new york always put up that many points on that defense? My son has Wash. Defense on his fantasy and he asked me what the hell is going on ? My answer: "The worst thing that can happen to a hot defense is the rest of the league figures them out. Take a father's wisdom here.

Or run twice and pass on 3rd which is what actually happened. It took 16 seconds because Washington used its TO’s.

So, we all heard about penei sewell’s struggles in the preseason but that was at RT. Decker couldn’t play in game 1 and sewell slid over to his natural position against nick bosa and a talented pass rushing group from SF. The kid knocked it outta the park with zero sacks allowed and awesome run blocking! His PFF grade for the game was almost 76!
Now the detroit fan base is clamoring for sewell to stay at LT but Decker has never played RT! The O-line coach has come out and said Decker will not be moved to the right. So now detroit has two premier LTs and no RT because sewell sucks on the right side, hilarious!
I wonder if the lions will decide to shop Decker for players and picks since his contract is big and many many teams need a franchise LT and will pay a lot to get one. Most likely they’ll just force sewell to continue playing a position he struggles to play.
EDIT: i was looking at detroits cap situation and it doesn’t look good. I’m not sure they can make any moves, they have 5 mil in cap space and over 50 million in dead cap, OMG! The stafford trade plus all the turnover they had this offseason really put them in a bind. From a salary cap POV, it doesn’t seem like they put much forethought into the moves they made this past offseason.

I read that Sewell played well, but also read that unlike Slater the Lions made a lot of accommodations for Sewell in pass protection with chip blocks and the like. That’s one of the issues that I have with PFF grades: they don’t appear to take into account whether a player is getting help or is placed on an island. IMO that’s why you heard the national media raving about Slater and not much about Sewell.
