And it’s over after one preseason game. From what I have read, Tebow’s blocking was jokingly bad facing scrubs this past weekend. It was always a publicity sham. 🤦♂️

First take on ESPN tried to turn it into a race thing this morning. "A black player, no matter how popular would never get a tryout at the highest level at a position they have never played before at that age".

The clips I saw of Tebow were jokingly bad. Like a guy who couldn’t see out of his face mask. Nobody without the name Tebow would have been suited up. Black, white, brown, yellow, red or orange. Ok maybe orange

Kind of an odd story on NBC regarding folks that ordered Tebow jerseys, they will not be covered under “jersey assurance” because it doesn’t protect fans from players being cut, it only kicks in when a player gets traded. I guess it became a story because folks were looking to get refunds…

That’s absurd for sure, but equally ridiculous was the NFL live crew turning Tebow into a heroic and inspirational figure for “pursuing his dream” there are a ton of men out there getting cut in the next two weeks, many of them could easily play in the NFL if they got the right opportunity. Tebow got perhaps an ‘undeserved opportunity’ so I can certainly understand some criticism but no need to go there…

Caveat emptor!!
No kidding, I’m trying, really trying, to be simphatetic but it’s so hard. On the one hand I want to laugh till I cry and on the other hand it’s disconcerting to think of all those people parting with that much money without stopping to think first.

I know its the NBA but let me introduce you to Magic Johnson the power forward from point guard... I'm sure there are also a few examples in the NFL I can't think of.

Moving from QB to TE when you are in your 30's when you have never played any position other than QB from the time you started playing as a youngster was nothing but a publicity stunt. It was 100% bound to fail. Yes, QB's have moved to TE during college and when they have entered the NFL in their young 20's - never happened when a player has tried switching those positions as he nears retirement age for the position. And for the record: Magic Johnson was a point guard in high school and for Michigan State the two seasons he was there.
Now you have people calling out the race card, others saying he was axed because he is a Christian, others PO'd because they bought his Jacksonville jersey & he is (inevitably) axed after one laughable preseason game, etc., etc., etc. This is a self-own by rookie professional football coach who does not need this distraction as he attempts to prepare a 1-15 team for the upcoming season.
