Brandon Staley, like a good leader should, is taking responsibility for the problem here. However, I don't believe he is more responsible than the players' poor performance or mediocre talent (I'm looking at you Tillery and Nwosu!) I have been impressed with Brandon Staley and I think he's saying all the right things as a leader and head coach. That alone, however, doesn't overcome the poor quality level at certain areas of this team. Something about silk purses and sow's ears? Regardless- Let's Go Brandon! (Staley)

Perhaps Staley in saying it is a coaching problem is referring to a game plan issue, or even an awareness on how the coaching/plan failed by expecting players' weakness' to become strengths. One of the more interesting statements from Staley's hiring process was his acknowledgement of how important it was to recognize the player's weakness as well as his strengths.
