The Rams just traded ILB Kenny Young to the Broncos for a 7th round pick. Kenny Young was a FA off-season target of mine. The Rams only have $5 million cap space for next year. They will be unable to re-sign most of their FA's in the off-season for this reason. That's why they traded Young cheaply (future draft pick vs nothing). I don't have to tell anyone how valuable a Rams defensive player would be to Staley... Also Rams FA's at the end of the year... NT Sebastian Joseph-Day (62.4 pff) and OLB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (77.8 pff)... Chargers FA's: Linval Joseph, Kyler Fackrell, Uchenna Nwosu, Kyzir White... Why wouldn’t Staley have made a bid for Kenny?

Apparently a 7th round pick is more important than immediate help or at the very least solid depth... This is the shit I'm talking about with TT... smh.
And no I'm not talking about Kenny specifically just the situation and opportunity...

I would assume Staley and TT would have had the opportunity to make the trade if they wanted it.

Agree, I would also assume that TT would not deny a 7th round pick trade requested by his first year coach having a 4-2 start.

Be careful with this Staley can make trades BS.
TT is the GM and would make the call. Staley can go to him, request of him, but TT makes the call.
Staley ain't calling up to TT and ask if he can go for it on 4th down. Stuff like that. Keep your lanes in order. Never mind. I'll do it for you.

And no I'm not talking about Kenny specifically just the situation and opportunity... This really seems like a missed opportunity. I’m surprised the Rams moved him for a late round pick they way he was playing. I’m more surprised we didn’t try to get him.

Another thing to consider is the Rams fearing Charger success, so not willing to trade anyone to help the Chargers.

We’ve given up 76 points in our last 2 games. 76! The defensive wunderkind is on the clock Offense and special teams contributed.
Opponent starting field position, LAC's time of possession, etc.
It seemed apparent vs Bal that Staley believed an L is an L regardless of 1 pt or 34 and repeatedly took chances on O (that didn't work ) in an effort to seize momentum. Still, an ugly stat.
I blame run D. Staley says it's his coaching and that steps have been taken.
I'll be watching. Run D absolutely does need to improve, and not at the expense of pass D. Let's Go Brandon!

Another thing to consider is the Rams fearing Charger success, so not willing to trade anyone to help the Chargers. Not only that, but word has been leaking for some time that Kroenke isn’t happy at all regarding with how much the Chargers are contributing towards the stadium costs. Due to the NFL’s mandate that the Chargers must be “taken care of” as a condition for authorizing the Rams move to LA & approval for the stadium, Spanos is paying a $1 / year lease for decades in addition to only charging about 1/4 of what the Rams are charging for the PSL’s that go towards stadium costs. Kroenke may be one of the richest individuals on the planet, but those kinds of things will still build up steam under his collar. In the end, that’s the deal that Kroenke & Spanos signed, so Stan needs to live with it, but that doesn’t mean that his Rams want to assist the Chargers on the field of play in any manner.
