True, but Samuel was playing great at the beginning of the season. Anyone can be fragile if they get hit in the head twice in a row. maybe the actual charger curse is the more talented they are the less durable. Now if we only could get rid of the ownership curse It is a very brutal sport, making long term durability seemingly rare.

Very true, which is prob why the NFL holds on to aging stars like Brady and Rogers... The up and comers are injured to mediocrity alot faster making that celebrity window smaller. OBJ who?

bigger, faster, stronger has its yang Yes it does.......and we in NHL need to take big hit out of game, it simply is too dangerous with the size of player today.

Yes it does.......and we in NHL need to take big hit out of game, it simply is too dangerous with the size of player today. Gonna look pretty funny skating around with skirts on. That is the current conundrum, how to retain hitting (which I am all for) and yet reduce the type of hits that cause injury. Some of the words being used in current discussions on this are 'vulnerable player' and 'targeting hit'.....so I am of the thought that NHL will evolve to post game video review of hits that resulted in injury to player, with a primary focus on those two aspects. There will be change, and for good reason, the cost is far to great to not protect the asset better. The reality is the player in both ice hockey and football have become so big, fast, strong, that the force being generated is too great for their bodies to absorb successfully. Change must come......

I'm all for less padding... Sounds counter-productive, but if it hurts you'll prob risk yourself less.

You are all for retaining hits, when it's a foul to hit goalies ?!?!?!?! Rub some ice on it.

Interesting Staley stat:
Rookie QBs are now 3-0 vs. Brandon Staley as a head coach or defensive coordinator (as DC: Tua Tagovailoa vs. Rams, Week 8, 2020; as HC: Mac Jones, Week 8, 2021).

That, I think, speaks more about the opposing team’s coaching than the rookies (but that isn’t to say the rookies aren’t playing good games).

Yea for sure, I don't think there is much about it but just a crazy stat.
