Make no mistake, we ARE in win now mode... We SHOULD NOT be rebuilding at this point, Herbert's rookie contract demands it. TT needs to start doing things outside his comfort zone to bring in playmakers, and IMHO that is making some trades and giving up SOME draft capital that he usually whiffs on anyways. FFS... I'll make you feel better. The Rams traded for Von Miller. We make the exact same trade to get Kenneth Murray. Let that sink in for a minute. You are just sour on how Murray has panned out......but he was highly rated in that draft. Von Miller is a shell of what made him great at this point.....just look at that return for Denver.

This is no excuse goalie, I'm sorry. I get it though... Tillery is another example of a poor choice. Also, Von Miller has 4.5 sacks this season compared to Bosa's 3.5 and they are also nearly identical in tackles. I wouldn't necessarily call that a "shell" Face it, some teams focus on winning titles while we focus on staying competitive and being fiscally conservative.

This is so we can afford our 1$ a year lease. Sometimes you have to sacrifice for the bottom line.

I don't have to reply to the goalie now !

It isn't an excuse, rather a simple reality. Just like TT drafting Lamp....great pick, then an injury destroyed his talent. Neither pick was a poor choice before making the pick..... Bosa is easily defended when he has no serious help.....I view Bosa as a high level talent that loses far too much drive when things are not going well. I miss spoke on Miller, as I thought the return was a couple 6th round picks. Clearly Denver got a great return for a rental player, now we wait and see if LAR's get what they hope for....

I guess if teams won games based off draft potential and scout ratings we'd have some rings by now...

Face it, some teams focus on winning titles while we focus on staying competitive and being fiscally conservative. This is an argument I don’t find persuasive. “Fiscally conservative” means staying under the salary cap, no? Is there any data to suggest that the Chargers consistently under-spend relative to the cap and other teams? More likely is that the Chargers draft/develop poorly and perhaps don’t do as much spending of draft capital in trades.

LAR is spending tomorrow’s dollar today. Desperate and confident teams do that. Neither are usually right.

If I had a club that I viewed as top 5 in the league, and the record/statistics supported my view, I might be willing to sell some of the future for improving my shot now. I doubt there is any member on here that views the Chargers as top five.....with even less believing they win the Super Bowl this year.

Get your ticket punched for the playoffs then anything can happen. You have to believe! First things first; get your ticket punched. The bolts have to win these games against sub .500 teams.

This roster is not there yet, and all one needs to look at is the varied positions reasonably educated members on here have wanted TT to go sign. Can they go on a run with this roster, absolutely, but is it expected..... The Chargers 'need' to start winning each and every game now, string 3 wins together and the 'need' might lessen. Somehow I think they have reached pretty close to the maximum losses and still be considered as a threat.

We aren't even an every other year playoff team. Since playoffs is our new "top" why not add some help to achieve that. Your view it will just never happen. I've posted about this before and genius like changed some opinions. We have a goddamn YouTube show called All In. All In what ?!?!?! All in Roundtree and Murray ?

Is someone trying to tell me that a Hicks and a Von Miller would not have helped us ??
Do you know the running backs that were in free agency this year ? Just top of my head: Bell, Murray, Ingram, Peterson, etc etc.....Just looking for a paycheck....would not have cost much.
Joshua Kelley is good.
Goalie swore new oline would make all our backs great. i laugh.
