Serious Question: In Charles Davis' recent mock draft, (here: www.nfl.com/draft/2019/mock-drafts) he has us taking CB Rock Ya-Sin and with the very next pick the Chiefs select CB Greedy Williams. My question is why would he have Ya-Sin chosen before Greedy Williams? Isn't Williams regarded as the #1 or 2 best CB prospect, and Ya-Sin a distant third? Is Charles Davis playing favorites (or anti-favorites) here, or does he have inside info on scheme fit or character issues that make Ya-Sin more of a Charger than an otherwise better player at the same position? I'm just trying to understand this mock draft, nothing for or against the two players themselves.

Rock is better in off coverage, strong in run support. With all the safties still on the board TT might take his favorite in this position.

Greedy needs to improve in his run support......now that is funny as hell. Greedy doesn't participate in run support, but he can cover WR's really really well.

A player I really hope we are able to get is Safety Nassir Adderley. I was thinking we could land him in the 2nd but he keeps moving up on everyone's draft boards. I think there may be a run on safeties late in the first and early into the 2nd so our options may be limited after that.
If we were to take him with our first round pick, it looks like our best value in round 2, and still addressing a PON, would then ILB Germaine Pratt - N.C. State. Our other best options I think would be at OT taking either Dalton Risner, Kaleb McGary or Yodny Cajuste in that order.
Of course DT is still one of the biggest needs and my hope is that Khalen Saunders would still be available in the 3rd.

Dane Brugler's 7 round mock draft. Here's what he has for us for all 7 rounds with only the first having any significant analysis: 1. Nasir Adderley, FS, Delaware
2. Tytus Howard, OT, Alabama State 3. Anthony Nelson, DL, Iowa 4. Tyler Jones, OG, NC State 5. Mark Fields, CB, Clemson 6. DaMarkus Lodge, WR, Ole Miss 7. Jacob Dolegala, QB, Central Connecticut

It's interesting how much Brugler has certain forum favorites dropping to the 2nd round. Guys like Greedy Williams, Dalton Risner, Mack Wilson, Taylor Rapp, and Kaleb McGary. It could mean we do have choices at the 28th spot. Or that it would be better to trade down.

If a team wants our #28 pick in the first, and we can make them pay dearly for it, I have no problem trading back. Has to be in the top of the second round though. Top 5ish ?

Depending on who's left at 28, it would be a good trade if top 5 ea DTs, OL, DBs are gone.

If we manage to get both an early 2nd and early 3rd without giving up anything else in return besides our 1st, then TT earned his extension this year. And the other team's GM needs to be fired. With any luck it'll be an AFC West division rival.

It all depends on how desperate a team picking near the top of the draft who passed on a QB with a top of the 1st round pick are to sign somebody they like (a) before somebody else snaps him up, and (b) have the QB under control for five years by picking him in the 1st round as opposed to the 2nd. It isn't all that likely, but teams will overpay for a QB that they believe has a chance to be a franchise QB. At pick #28, I'd have the phone lines open listening to what Tampa Bay, NYG and Jacksonville are willing to offer should they pass on a QB in round 1.
