But i do enjoy reading those who follow the college player, ratings etc. Player ranking and ratings ?!?!?!?!?!?! OMG how boring ! My genius methods are so misunderstood every year. I honestly am only taking my best guess. At 17 and a few needs, they can do anything. But I'll take a shot. The night of the draft you will have to secretly change my pick post. You know, like every year. I love traditions.

Your Emperor's glorious pick is (sound the trumpets)
Position: CORNERBACK
If you make me take a player: Trent McDuffie, Washington or Andrew Booth Jr., Clemson

I'm hoping Jameson Williams falls to 17... but based on recent mock drafts he won't. I think he's my favorite first round player this year.
The player I want least- that has been predicted to go to the Chargers- is Trevor Penning! It's not just the Tackle position as I'd be happy with Charles Cross if he was there at 17 but that is highly unlikely. Penning seems too much like a project to be our first rounder.
My second tier (after Jameson Williams) would be any of the top three CBs that are available at 17- Stingley, Gardner, McDuffie- in that order and the first two have almost no chance of getting out of the top twelve.
And then I wouldn't hate if Jordan Davis was our pick as a behemoth sized and hopefully generational talent player.
There are some offensive linemen like Zion Johnson and Kenyon Green that would be good picks, but taking a Guard is never sexy or exciting.
I think trading DOWN and getting additional picks would be our best case scenario; this draft seems deep in WRs, OL, DB, and Edge players- which are all positions we should add to upgrade our team this year!

That's the hell of picking 17, and with our roster !! They can go so many different ways, and I'll tell you how I crunched it down: VALUE. I am a Freak for draft VALUE. Specifically, POSITION VALUE !! I was able to discount positions based on value. RB= undervalued. Guard=undervalued. etc etc etc Now, Tackle threw me for a loop. But the valued position there is in LT, not RT. CB is valued, DOUBLE if you look at the QB's in our division !!!!!!!! That's mostly why I went there. As far as Jordan Davis goes, we got Mack, Austin, and Sebastian Day in the offseason. My Heavens are we going Dline again ?? Not sure he'll be there either. WR IS the wild card for me. I would not be angry if they got one from Alabama or Ohio State !!!!!

I think the bolts have more RT potential candidates in house than Guards. At RT there are Storm, Pipkins, Fieler, Jaimes who all have experience. At Guard we have Fieler and Jaimes. I would be A-OK if the boltz drafted a guard at 17 assuming he will lock down the position for years. Bonus if he can also backup the center.
