I expect us to be active in free agency this year. we have a ton of cap space and should be able to fill those needs with blue chip players.
DL, LB, OT, RB are what i hope we address and then get some key depth signings.
Being able to truly take BPA in the draft is where i hope we are.
What are some possible free agents we can sign?

I hope we land a good RB in the semi-early rounds of the draft, I don't want a high mileage FA. With that said, I'm down for almost anything else that will help us come day 1 of next season.

Nope I let him walk, he disappeared as the season progressed and there are much better options out there. Mike Williams made some big plays and clutch catches this year. I think he's a good receiver... but not great. He just seems to come and go, which is rather frustrating. Bottom line is I would NOT bring him back for $17 million. And the biggest reason isn't even about him, it's- Superstar QBs make the players around them- especially receivers- even better! So Herbert can make do with comparable but cheaper WRs, kinda like... oh what was his name... the guy everybody liked in preseason oh yeah!.. Tyron Johnson!

It's funny how people can so easily disparage people they don't even know. Are you projecting your personal characteristics on Mike Williams? Are you an inherently lazy person that will do the minimum until it's time to elevate your effort in order to get paid?

I don’t read his post that way at all. What is the part that is disparaging or projecting on MW his “personal characteristics?” I read the post as saying they wouldn’t re-sign MW based on past performance and guessing, perhaps cynically (though hardly without precedent), that he wouldn’t be worth the money in terms of future performance. Isn’t that just nominally player evaluation? |

I don't think it was personal. He's allowed to evaluate his contract however he deems fit. I'd like to see his dropped passes stat in a contract year.
