Well he has been on the field.....but more to your point, no I do not expect him to be thrown into the mix. He has a busy first two weeks of the season. He is our Tight End eliminator. He has Waller and Kelce the first two weeks !! and DJ has plenty of time to prepare for the regular season.......he will be ready.

What, you don't think he will be on the field today or tomorrow? Well he has been on the field.....but more to your point, no I do not expect him to be thrown into the mix. Participated in one-on-ones yesterday and will start seven-on-sevens when practice resumes next week. That will be followed by full-squad work. They’re easing him in because (1) they have no doubt DJ will be ready come Raiduh Week, and (2) they don’t want a setback from throwing him in full-on too soon. |

Deal is cut by the NFL and Watson: 11 game suspension. A big W for Watson who gets to keep almost all of the contract $$$ due to it being less than a season long suspension.
Watson sounds quite remorseful. 🙄

This is where we say call Sean Payton.
Sorry guys it’s not like Dallas or the Rams were playing front line guys against us. It’s back end of the roster vs back end of the roster and that’s where coaching really shows up. Same old chargers. Bad ST play, no Run O and no run D.

Palmer has to be our WR3. He will draw CB3 and 4’s. That is a mismatch for us.
Sebastian needs to be a part of the next cuts.
Our depth on defensive line is starting to excite me.
We have WR’s. But my heavens I would find a way to keep Bandy.

Palmer has to be our WR3. He will draw CB3 and 4’s. That is a mismatch for us. Sebastian needs to be a part of the next cuts. Our depth on defensive line is starting to excite me. We have WR’s. But my heavens I would find a way to keep Bandy. Night and day by Palmer compared to week 1. Was glad to see that. Such a big turnaround in effort, I have to think someone got up his ass for mailing in everything last week. Bandy does look like someone we need to find room for, I just don't see how on the 53. Sadly it's more likely he goes the route of another particular #83. Rumph continues to impress. I'm still holding out hope that the big names we brought in to solve our problems on D (but haven't seen on the field yet) will indeed solve our problems. Please don't carry 3 QBs. Chase and Stick are both equally bad, no reason to have both. Just cut to the chase and fire the ST coach now. smh. |

I again tried to concentrate on our RT situation and it was clear that Pipkins showed much better than Norman the entire game. Both had moments of good and bad but I do think the battle is over.
The problem I still see is that neither game have they been put against any 1st team players from the Rams or the Cowboys and that scares me for when the season actually starts. RT will be a weakness D Coordinators will exploit and there is no shortage of elite edge rushers in our division. It will not matter how potent our offense is if Herbert can not be afforded the time needed to run it.

The not playing to avoid injury sword cuts both ways. This 'new' set of defence players have not played together, might be unwise to not at least see them play some..... ST's is tough.....they are clearly trying different players that 'might' make the roster if they can play ST's. That sorta sets up the squad for inconsistent play. Losing Herbert equates to losing....so it doesn't matter who QB2 is, but I agree, there seems to be zero reason for a QB3. Will we see starting units play at all this next, and last, preseason game?

Zion hasn’t faced first stringers yet either so we may have a big issue on the right side. None of the RBs have managed to impress at all and it’s time to scour the waiver wires or trade for Kareem Hunt |
