Palmer has to be our WR3. He will draw CB3 and 4’s. That is a mismatch for us. Sebastian needs to be a part of the next cuts. Our depth on defensive line is starting to excite me. We have WR’s. But my heavens I would find a way to keep Bandy. Night and day by Palmer compared to week 1. Was glad to see that. Such a big turnaround in effort, I have to think someone got up his ass for mailing in everything last week. Bandy does look like someone we need to find room for, I just don't see how on the 53. Sadly it's more likely he goes the route of another particular #83. Rumph continues to impress. I'm still holding out hope that the big names we brought in to solve our problems on D (but haven't seen on the field yet) will indeed solve our problems. Please don't carry 3 QBs. Chase and Stick are both equally bad, no reason to have both. Just cut to the chase and fire the ST coach now. smh. I agree with both of the bolded statements, and I think the combination of those two is the answer- if we don't keep a third QB it gives us room for an extra WR.

Minus the two notso-special teams plays and the game would be a tie. The guys on special teams were bad but that Turpin kid is is for real.

Palmer, Bandy, Rumph, LB Davis were standouts. Fehoko, Gaziano, Covington played well. Punt - kick coverage units were a dumpster fire. OL depth was inconsistent, as was the rookie RG Zion.

hmmm....maybe solve our RT position Is Hunt available? That would wrap up the RB spot I just saw that Kenyon Drake will be cut by the Raiders. He might be a decent vet RB to check out. Josh Kelley has looked OK, but not great, so I’m not sold on our backup RB spot just yet. Spiller is headed in that direction, or was until his recent minor injury. Thoughts on Drake or our backup RB spots overall?

Thoughts on Drake or our backup RB spots overall? It is really difficult to form much of an opinion because the guys playing now, for the most part, won't be playing in regular season games. I guess it is trust Staley......one more game and then they are for real, eh

I again tried to concentrate on our RT situation and it was clear that Pipkins showed much better than Norman the entire game. Both had moments of good and bad but I do think the battle is over. The problem I still see is that neither game have they been put against any 1st team players from the Rams or the Cowboys and that scares me for when the season actually starts. RT will be a weakness D Coordinators will exploit and there is no shortage of elite edge rushers in our division. It will not matter how potent our offense is if Herbert can not be afforded the time needed to run it. I think Pip is the starting rT as well and they should just call it. Zion hasn’t faced first stringers yet either so we may have a big issue on the right side. None of the RBs have managed to impress at all and it’s time to scour the waiver wires or trade for Kareem HuntYou have wanted Hunt for 2-3 years now.........just so no one thinks I'm sleeping at the wheel over here....... My best take is it will never happen. Not because he wouldn't help. He is NOT the Chargers culture of Choirboys.

Oh for God’s sakes he had one little incident with an annoying girl who wouldn’t leave. Haven’t we all? The Chargers just don't play that game....................... Listen to me now and believe me later because I’ve been saying this for years. We’re in the NFL. It’s no place for choir boys. We’ve got a choir boy coach and gm and it’s becoming apparent that they can’t deliver a swift kick to the rear when necessary. It’s permeating the team. Get tough or gtfo. Cuz when it’s all on the line at the end of games, seasons, etc. I’m looking around asking where are the dawgs at? I’m done with the trying part. They drafted a safety in the 3rd round who has to be taught to tackle. To tackle I said.

hmmm....maybe solve our RT position Is Hunt available? That would wrap up the RB spot All indications are that they are content with Pipkins. I believe the competition was in name only and that he was slated to start the entire time. From the media around his training and progression with Duke this offseason, to not taking a whiff at multiple FA's (some available on the cheap), to not drafting a single tackle (even though we drafted 22 DB's), to discounting the option of Feiler moving to RT, it all added up to this. They clearly felt that Pipkins was their best option. Now we will see if they are right or not.
