TB, you know I look at this stuff from a GM perspective, and that means making difficult projections on players that have been great for the club. Players become not worth the cost, they all do......KA will as well. Being prepared with solid roster certainly allows for a less painful separation when it is time to make that happen. Being unprepared is just bad business.... As Freak pointed out, KA had a fantastic year! I expect 2-3 more just like this last one, then the cliff calls...... That window is very tight.....are you betting your home the Chargers win a Super Bowl in two years, probably not. The reason not is you suddenly have to be honest/realistic, even go against your heart.....GM's have to be that way every single day, or they get fired. I totally get. I agree. But when the drop of occurs is a guess. Guess pessimistically and you may lose. Brees, Harrison, come to mind. I will take exception with not betting my home. It's not going to be wagered because even if your stacked (ie 2006) there is no guarantee. But I actually believe this team with herbert along with a little more help puts this team is prime position to win it all. Not even the PATS with all their talent were a guaranteed winner every year they got in. I think the bolts can get in in the next 2 years. Next 2 years or never.

Making educated guesses is what these organizations do constantly...... No, there are not any guarantees, but when the risk is your job, or home, you tend to get very serious about your evaluations.

If the Chargers are not in the playoffs next year Telesco can keep that surfboard in his office in some Chicago or Detroit. Now how stupid will that look ?

I've been out of town, did anyone mention the Rams signed Weddle? The guy is 37 years old and mediocre, what do they expect?

Avg is a big step up for LAC special teams. We'll take all we can get to improve. Do you have run stopper killers for me this offseason ? Like Ben Grim Reaper Johnson Or Kenny The Killer Smith Or Mike The Massacre Manhandler
