I am willing to bet TT did some real coupon shopping here. We have young, developing LBs. TT is being very selective, to fill in the gaps. This man played in a Super Bowl with a broken arm. Being selective seems like a very wise path to follow. Broken arm eh, might be he has some Ice Hockey player blood in him.......

Here is some initial analysis i found:
Davis had spent the entirety of his 14-year career with the Panthers, the team which made him the 14th overall pick of the 2005 draft, but they decided to move on this offseason. Unsurprisingly, Davis quickly found a new home with a team which should compete this season. Given the Chargers' depth chart, Davis could be asked to shoulder a big load.

Thomas is big league. He's been a great NFL LB. I'm worried about his age, but I trust the staff.
Productive. He had 79 tackles in 12 games played last year. Let's squeeze the final juice out of his career.
