you want to crown their asses, crown their asses. Are they who you think they are? Show me... Even if a couple don't play to their contract I think we signed enough quality vets to make a big improvement from last year. Its not like before where TT makes one big splash and the guy is worthless, "should" be much different this year. I agree. It looks good. But its when the rubber meets the road that matters, as I know you understand. Tempered enthusiasm for me.

To Disc's point depth is a question that I hope we do not need to count on in that the injuries do not pile up. I'm thinking this D could be as good as 2006, if not better. But I do want to see it more that imagine it. maybe in this case, if you build it, they will come

Luck will play a part if those injuries are minor in nature.....

The 2006 Chargers defense were heat seeking missiles, and Merriman missed 4 games with the suspension.
The thing that people tend to forget about the 2007 defense is that they were a turnover machine: 30 INT’s and 25 fumble recoveries. That more than makes up for the 14th in yards given up that year. It’s been a while since the Chargers defense can cause that much havoc, so I wouldn’t mind a return to that.

I started this thread for a REASON. I think Van Noy was the sneakiest "quiet" signing the Chargers may have had this great offseason.
SB winner experience. The guy knows how to change a game when he is out there.
