I can't remember what mine was but right now I'm thinking: Arizona - Win LV - Win/Loss (toss up) Dolphins - Loss Titans - Loss Colts - Loss Rams - Win Denver - Win/Loss (toss up) if your prediction come true say hello to our new HC/Gm Sean Payton I love when I'm months ahead of everyone on Sean Payton. I got attacked on here for it too. Now they kneel. and kneel hard for me.

This is an area I tend to be different from most.....the HC needs to be managing the overall product, not the specifics of either the Offence or Defence. If you want to play the chess match on game day, stay a coordinator. I get that Staley sold the Chargers on his 'vision', and to me it was more of a defensive philosophy than offensive, and most likely the reason they kept the inexperienced DC. Injuries aside, the 'vision' is not working, time to accept that and bring in a top DC. My view, obviously.... The injuries are clearly a huge impacting aspect, just look at that graph that was on here a bit back. Assigning fault is a fools errand. (not saying you are doing that) Regardless, they exist, and are clearly diminishing the success for this club this season. Frustration has to be through the roof...... It seems like we are saying the same thing. It is hard to tell sometimes. Nominated.

An experienced DC likely won't want to be anywhere near Staley... IMHO an experienced DC would want some autonomy where Staley would offer none. Our best shot at improving the defense outside of firing Staley is bringing in Vic Fangio for DC. His outlook is even worse now. If they bring in a DC and the defense is good Staley looks like more crap.

But Payton is still million times better than Staley, he had Brees in NO and was a perennial playoff contender, he'll have Herbert in LA and likely attract better coordinators. You'll pass on a SB winning coach based off one Bounty Gate scandal??? Lets win some games and stop with the pearl clutching.

Jeff Fisher would have been better than Norv, McCoy, and Lynn put together but I would never want that POS as our coach. When Brady was a FA and rumor had it that he might sign with us it made my stomach turn. I’m not done with Staley and I see a bunch of confirmation bias going on with the Staley haters all over the interwebs right now. We win it’s in spite of Staley. We lose it’s because of him. the facts are what the are. We are a second place team fighting for a wild card. If we get healthy we will make some noise. Big picture is that we have to figure out a way to beat the Chiefs. As simple as that. No consolation prizes for battling them every time we face them. We are there bitches until someone nuts up and demonstrates what enough is enough looks like. Same as the Bills. They make look shinier than us but we are both just the same at this point.

Payton bailing after Brees retired was total chickenshit. Instead of cementing his legacy as a great coach he bailed and made it clear that he had no interest in a rebuild. Now he sits and spouts off while waiting for some owner to hand him a SB caliber roster. Compare that with Andy Reid. KC was a mess when he got there. He immediately won with Alex Smith then moved off of him to go with Mahomes.

I look at the defence, and I see catastrophic injuries....no DC is overcoming them. Yet, here the Chargers are, battling for a wildcard spot. Keeping them in the battle, keeping them in the hunt, the applause has to go to the coaching staff. Maybe a top DC steals one more win, but the Chargers are still hunting a WC spot, so no dramatic change in situation. Regardless of final results, the injuries will take the blame, and Spanos will make no coaching changes. Which I am in agreement with, it seems reasonable. Yes, I would prefer an experienced DC, but that should have happened in January of 2021.

I believe in 2 seasons we have seen what we are going to see with Staley and I'll leave it at that.

We nearly beat KC with the most damaged roster in the nfl. That was coaching. The L was Kelce making DJ his bitch. Let's see how it plays out.

That's what I'm hoping... I would have normally called the Colts an easy win but they have rallied behind Jeff Saturday so it could be a toss up as well. Our 2 remaining division games are away games, Like that matters, but still. So toss up... The first half of the Chiefs game I was starting to give Staley the benefit of the doubt as he is very animated on the sideline and you can tell he is trying really hard. So at the very least I expect Lombardi to be gone next year and Staley will stay based on the injury excuse. Staley might be a good HC one day or he might be another Josh McDaniel, either way I don't care I want Payton.I am lining up this way too. Given a choice between Staley or Payton, I take Payton. Somehow I think 'injuries' will be the excuse and Telesco/Staley survive another year for continuity. I think they might use Injuries as an excuse but in truth there is ZERO chance a Spanos owned team will ever spend what would be needed to hire Payton or any other quality coach. If you think about it all we have had is McCoy to Lynn to Staley all one time assistants coaches who jumped at a chance to be a Head Coach and were willing to accept "entry level" compensation. Give up on them hiring Payton cause it's not just a "pipe dream" it's a Crackpipe dream.

Both the Cards and Boltz will be coming off of emotional losses trying to bounce back. The Cards trying to recover some self respect; Boltz trying to show they are still a contender.
I predict a second straight blowout loss for the Cards.
Boltz win 28 - 10.

35 - 14 Bolts with McCoy
35 - 27 Bolts with Murray

I think opening up the second half with an onsite kick was pretty slick. It took a team effort, not just Brees. I wish we could argue "It's Herbert, not Payton that won our SB !!!" I also didn't know that Sean Payton in Vietnamese is Phuk Him Nguyen.
