KeeSean Johnson. He's who we are showing high interest in. Johnson--good route runner, great hands, imagine him learning even more route running tips from the master, KA. Could be good value in rounds 3-5. Local guy for you, yes ? We had quite a chat at Fresno State Pro Day. Maybe round 6 IMV. On this day in March.

Yep...let me tell you something...Fresno State had a GREAT season, beating Boise St. on the blue turf, which is tough to do, winning the Mountain West championship and winning the Las Vegas Bowl. And KeeSean Johnson was a big part of it. All Johnson did in his years at Fresno was become the all-time Bulldogs best receiver with 273 catches and 3,430 yards, even passing up Davante Adams, of the Packers. I'm impressed you attended that pro day...nice work, Wood!

Its pretty hard alright.....We have 1 2 3 4 5 , number 2 went to the penalty box forever. Weaker, stronger, or the same.
Don't be scaredy cat, you can do it.
Actually, Freak, I would argue that Twill was our #3 receiver last year, slightly behind Mike Williams. KA is #1 with 1,196 yards; Mike Will is #2 with 664 yards; and Twill was a close #3 with 653 yards. But wait, there's more! Mike Will is a much better red zone target with 10 TD's to Twill's 5. So, Mike Will is our clear #2. Twill is still a very good wideout, but I think we've got others who can step up and fill the void.
Dear Kitty Cat, I am not trying to argue the semantics of the situation. 2-3, whatever. It looked like Ty and Mike were battling for the number 2 position. YOU DO NOT APPRECIATE THE LUXURY THAT WE ENJOYED THERE. That is a great problem to have, and now its gone. Our group was so good, that GM's said TY could be viewed as a number 1 in free agency. You think others can step up. I like the bird in hand, not the two in the bush. I have picked this topic to raise awareness. There are two major points that I perceive and want to share. I'll make a separate post on the big picture, but I will give you something to think about first. TT always takes care of his own. Its a smart reputation to have. Be a choirboy, stay out of trouble, and I will take care of you when your turn is up. Did he do that with Tyrell Williams ?? He was our rookie. TT signed him. Now he is in our division at Oakland.

So why did TT draft Dylan Cantrell ?

Freak's big picture: TT has a formula. Draft well, sign FA's at bargain contracts. This formula enjoyed success, once Anthony Lynn was hired. We had a playoff season. He is sticking with his formula, dead free agency, we even lost a couple of our own.
To what end is all of this ? I called for All In to get a Superbowl. Not his formula, and he didn't do it. What is left ? Consistently put a playoff caliber team on the field ? We'll take a good product strung out over many years to make money versus a great product one time to win it all (with a dream of back-to-back) ?

TT took care of the Great Geremy Davis instead of Tyrell Williams.

How hard is it to understand ? TW wasn't worth the money he wanted, so TT passed.

The failure in your thinking is the belief that "We'll take a good product strung out over many years to make money" will never win a Super Bowl, versus the "all in" view will certainly win a Super Bowl.

Freak, you do realize that the Raiders are paying Twill $44 MILLION with this deal, with $22 mil GUARANTEED, don't you? Did it occur to you that since the Bolts don't have a ton of room with the salary cap, they still need to leave room for signing 7 rooks in the draft, plus maybe another FA or two? Not to mention bringing back a few more of our OWN FA's...Twill earned $2.9 mil last year and only $615k the year before. Imagine the jump from that to $44 mil over 4 years! Oh, and one more thing. The last year or so, Twill did improve somewhat on his route running, but there were STILL a few times there was a pick, incomplete, or Rivers jawing at him for running the wrong route. If I'm shelling out $44 mil, you better believe I want my wideout running the right route...

DT is bigger need than OT now.
it is a bit scary we rely only on draft to improve at both.
I can see Boston coming back now.
p.s. what compensatory picks should we get for t will and philon?
