So I expect that we will most likely picking the best DT left on the board with our 1st round pick. Hopefully from a grouping of Wilkins , Tillery or Lawrence . Wilkins will be gone. Tillery just had shoulder surgery. Lawrence gets mixed reviews. Obviously the pick is Jeffery Simmons.
Great player who may miss the 2019 season with an ACL tear. He's a mid rd investment. BPA at 28 who can help our 2019 SB run.

Philon just signed a deal with Arizona. Two years for $10 million, 12 million max (incentives). $5 million guaranteed Nice deal for Philon, can't blame him...apparently, either TT didn't want to pay that much for a backup in the rotation, and/or Philon wasn't the best scheme fit for Bradley's D next year...

Freak's big picture: TT has a formula. Draft well, sign FA's at bargain contracts. This formula enjoyed success, once Anthony Lynn was hired. We had a playoff season. He is sticking with his formula, dead free agency, we even lost a couple of our own. To what end is all of this ? I called for All In to get a Superbowl. Not his formula, and he didn't do it. What is left ? Consistently put a playoff caliber team on the field ? We'll take a good product strung out over many years to make money versus a great product one time to win it all (with a dream of back-to-back) ? REACT TO MY MIND BLOWING, IN DEPTH PONDERING OF GENIUS THAT ONLY I CAN BRING YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The failure in your thinking is the belief that "We'll take a good product strung out over many years to make money" will never win a Super Bowl, versus the "all in" view will certainly win a Super Bowl. There is no failure, so that is out. Good product requires a crap load of luck, All In doesn't as much. Say hi to New England.

Suh is waiting to be signed.

It'll be interesting what happens at 28th now. I do wonder if we will actually use a 1st on a NT or wait until the 2nd or 3rd for one. Essentially the 4 pieces are still safety, linebacker, DT (more likely 1 tech now), and OL.

I'd like to know if the Bolts are entertaining the idea. He would cog up the middle.

Maybe TT is waiting for Suh to lower his expectations and take a fair deal instead of a crazy money deal...

I don't think his $ amount was huge either. Someone can dig that up. maybe he is looking for more. I just want to know if the Bolts have had talks with him to see if there was a mutual interest.

I think Suh is more name than game at this point, but he should be effective alongside Bosa and Ingram.

(Outside of Robert Kraft going to the Shamrock Club of course.) Who's hot in the postseason has a hell of a lot more to do with it than who got lucky on September 9th.

I'd like to know if the Bolts are entertaining the idea. He would cog up the middle. When FA opened we were one of like 3-5 teams that talked to Suh. I think TT wanted to wait for later to get his contract at lower rates. I hope we are still in touch and in the hunt. I know SuperBowl playing Suh has game left and would be another Telesco 2 year special. TT, Pay the Man !!
