Wilson was 13/24.....with a QB rating of around 56.6 Not exactly a stellar statistical result....other than the yards, which is a reflection of poor tackling by defence I suppose. In the end, I guess you are saying that a terrible Bronco team lit the Chargers' pass defence up, so do not put it all on run defence......seems fair. The D needs to play well. Defence wins Championships, eh Giving up three pass plays for 50+ yards is a guaranteed loser in the playoffs. Jeudy had 5 receptions for 154 yards in 6 targets. That can't happen again going forward. You have to look at the big picture. We all know Wilson is washed up and Jeudy has done little this season. But we will play the Broncos twice next year and the year thereafter and so on. We didn’t want to completely throttle Wilson last Sunday because we want the Broncos to think they have a future with him and their new coach should think the same. So we let Russ have a little fun and next season we’ll get back to making him look as bad as he had all season. Come on people. Taylor and Samuel let jeudy run free with an eye to the future

Yes Great White Debbie Downer Hex Maker of the North. We spent the first half struggling with the run. Then we collectively made the change. We have it dialed in for the Playoffs. What we did in September and October doesn’t mean jack now. The Colts had a historically bad defense in 2007 and figured it out at the last minute to win a SB. On Sunday, I’m sure that the Bolts did nothing to tip their hands for this weekend. In fact, I believe they put a lot on tape that the Jags will now to have to consider. The real test is now at hand for Staley. For all he did, Marty was never going to get us the Lombardi. He played to win divisions. As a result, there was never another level come playoff time. The real geniuses hold back 25% of the playbook on both sides of the ball for the championship run. Make the opponent think that they have you figured out and unleash hell on them instead. That is what I’m expecting to see. As a side note, even the dumbest NFL coach is smarter than 90% of the general public. Not to mention, the “experts” on TV that get paid to bloviate on topics that they are clearly not smart or experienced enough to actually do for a living. This is mostly directed at all these guys on Social Media that opine about the complete stupidity of our coaches and GM while they are on their lunch break at Jiffy Lube. Nominated POTD. If you can mix in bloviate and Jiffy Lube smack, you are getting nominated. Time to unleash hell he says. Yes. Yes it is.

36 hours until we SHOCK the world. RUB YOUR BOLTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!Would a Charger win be shocking? I thought the people that do the betting are saying this game is going to be very close, while all the others have a true favorite.

The betting has a close line, but a majority of pundits so far are choosing Jacksonville. Electrocute them all and somebody else can sort it out from there.

I saw something interesting on the Herd yesterday. On the record, I was a Herbert sceptic from his days in Oregon. Elite talent that seemed to disappear when it mattered most.
Fast forward to this week. Colin was talking about the 2020 scouting combine. He said that he was talking to an NFL GM (later he said it was Telesco) about Herbert. To paraphrase, he said that the tape on Herbert was difficult to evaluate since Oregon had no viable backup QB for most of Herbert's time with the Ducks. Telesco basically said that Mario Cristobal kept Justin in bubble wrap all the time, to ensure that he stayed on the field. He only cut him loose at the Rose Bowl for his last game. We all know he balled out for that game, but that was eye opening. That game was confirmation on what Justin was capable of doing when allowed to play. I found that fascinating and also explained his college tape when compared to what he has done in the NFL.

That's odd, from everything I've seen 75% of the talking heads have been picking the Bolts.

So the people that are paid to figure out which way this goes, can't decide....so it is 'too close to call'.... and those that are paid to just talk, with no ramifications for their talk being way wrong, are picking Jax. Do I have that correct? Go Chargers.....

If the chargers lose, which I suspect they might. I would hope that Spano’s would bring in Payton. But I doubt he will, he will stick with Staley and more underperforming.
