I'm looking forward to seeing Dean Spanos's vote.

Does The Moekid get a pass for some reason ? You better believe he’d be taking the credit if things went the other way… Hahaha. Go ahead and add me to the list. I will never start another OGDT.

what should happen: loose them all and give Payton the keys and a blank check.
What will happen: A somber TT will talk about what a great job Staley did with all the unprecedented injuries.

We need to get a coach that will teach Herbert to throw over the defensive linemen... WAAAAAYYYY to many tipped and blocked passes. That was ridiculous last night.

He’s 6’6”, no excuse for that. I wonder if his motion changed as a result of the rib injury? In any case Herbert didn’t get it done last night. 3 second half points

They had a critical 3rd Down conversion on that scoring drive which was not actually a catch, but they got the next snap off before it could be challenged. They were well out of FG range at that time, in their own territory. So they got 25 or so yards they shouldn’t have, on what was ultimately about a 50 yard FG attempt. Yeah there is the whole halftime adjustments thing, but I think a lot goes on the players too…

Continuing the theme of keeping myself honest, I always thought that bringing in an experienced HC was the right answer. Staley was intriguing enough after they made the hire. But he's not the guy. Perhaps he will be down the road, but he's not today. I’m still doing research, and I concede that this is pretty unsettled, but here’s how I would cluster and tier the candidates so far: 1: Bill Belichick 2: Brian Daboll; Jim Harbaugh; Jason Garrett; Jim Caldwell 3: Brian Kelly; David Shaw; Arthur Smith; Robert Saleh 4: Matt Eberflus; Brandon Staley 5: Matt Campbell; Joe Brady; Eric Bieniemy; Pat Fitzgerald Just to keep myself honest, I’m bringing forward the above. Right now, based on everything I’ve read, watched, and gleaned from what’s available, here’s my current ranking: 1. Belichick (yeah, yeah, it’s a dream) 2. Jim Harbaugh; Brian Daboll; Jason Garrett 3. Arthur Smith; Brian Kelly; Dave Toub Now that Lynn is gone—thankfully—I’ll take a closer look at some of the specific candidates. In the meantime, at present, I’d express my preferences generally, ranked in this order: 1) Someone with at least 3 seasons of NFL HC experience, preferably with at least 51% winning seasons that showed the ability to adapt strategy and tactics to personnel, strong leadership, and high football intelligence. Ex: Belichick, Harbaugh, Del Rio, Caldwell 2) Someone with significant HC experience, preferably with at least some winning seasons that showed the ability to adapt strategy and tactics to personnel, strong leadership, and high football intelligence. Ex: David Shaw, Brian Kelly 3) Someone with significant NFL senior staff (coordinator) coaching experience, preferably with at least 2 seasons of strongly performing team units (offense, special teams, defense) that showed the ability to build and execute a coherent strategy and tactics, strong leadership, and high football intelligence. Ex: Daboll, Toub, Saleh, Smith, Bieniemy Coach’s intro presser: The coach is intriguing. A lot of risk but seems to have some potential. John Spanos is unprepared and disappointing, and they had no plan. I really want this coach and team to succeed. I have little hope.

Doesn’t matter really. You could bring in Belichik and this team would underperform. The organization should be folded and discontinued. I called the one and done and most laughed at me. Now you understand why I am so cynical. I think most if not all understood. Just speaking for myself, I believe that the opportunity to improve exists. So does team failure.
Vs Jax looked like a Trevor Lawrence feel good flick. Too good to be true.

We are way too good to be losing a 27 point lead and loosing to the Jajuars. We either need to get rid of Lombardi and Staley or at least Lombardi. Our offense has as much talent as any team in the league and same could be said about our defense too. Clearly Lombardi can't keep his foot on the gas and almost always drops the ball with his play calling, especially when it is a have to win situation. Please, please, please do something in the front office that will make all Charger fans dream come true. Thanks
