Yes they have, and it just happened in the Superbowl. KC's running back on purpose did not score a TD. Late in the game and they did not want Philly to have time on the clock to go down and score. But..... If they (KC) had chosen to score a TD, and Philly got the ball back and scored a TD, would they not be in the exact same point differential only with less time available? Are there instances or examples of where the offence is not trying to score? Sure, the classic being the kneel down to run out the clock. Give me TD's, I will address the problem of too many points over a pint while laughing. There are no buts. It happens. Period.

That's true, Amp. But according to the CMB, with a new OC we're now gonna score touchdowns every offensive possession so high pressure field goals won't be necessary- thus alleviating the need for a kicker over the minimum salary.

What I quoted above is the contract triggers coming up.
they can cut folks all the way up until sometime in June, when the base salary for this league year is guaranteed.
So we need to restructure or cut some folks to clear 20 + million by 3/15. After that they have until June to make money moves to clear enough space to actually re-sign players or long term our 51 million a year QB.
I think that's how it works after a few minutes googling.
