Anything up from 29th. Philly played in the SB @ 6 KC won with 20th. and a 7th round RB. Mahomes was the clear factor as Herbert is for us, we also have to stay healthy.

Kelce ? Butterfly Mahomes. But having the best TE in the NFL has paid big dividends. Nobody does it by themselves.....just ask McDavid

This is a great post frozen and something I have been thinking about... So what now? How does this team stack up to last year when expectations were so high. We didn't make as many big moves and last year was such a let down. Our biggest move was clearly Kellen Moore as OC... Here is my take but let me perfectly clear, I want this team to succeed and I want Staley to do well. BUT, I just don't see it... Like freak says, our pass protection is awesome but has the run defense been improved? How will the secondary play? For me the biggest questions are going to be: Spiller or Kelley? How does the run defense improve? Can we stay healthy? Which version of Staley do we get? Mr. Analytics or Mr. Conservative Can Moore recreate his success in Dallas? Again I hope we go all the way to the Superbowl, but my bold take based off everything so far is another 1 and done playoff and below average run defense. Staley will be let go and Moore will take over. TT keeps his job. I think Staley tries to herd these cats with feel good motivational tactics but in the end its not enough... I have spoken. Obviously there is a different set of players as we transition from last year to this year. Not a completely different set, but a few. Let me try to give you my take on your musings.... Why not both....as I see both making the roster. Neither will take too many touches from Ekeler, provided all are healthy. Run defence improves mainly from everyone being healthy and playing. I also think the defence improves because Moore's offence will have opposing clubs chasing the game. Staying healthy is important, but never in totality, so I hope for mostly healthy...... Staley is a blend of all, but remember, Moore is really aggressive.....hoping that makes the defence more so as well. It is an internal competition, don't kid yourself.... Moore will be successful.....how much so is to be seen, but he has the talented players to be really successful. I see a 12-5 record.....nobody gets fired.

I would add that Kendricks has a better run stop grade than Tranquill, Bosa is very good at setting the edge, DL is getting some big dudes return from injury, we drafted Tuli, Henley and Matlock, signed several UDFA DE-DL-LB incl "explosive" NT Jerrod Clark 6-4, 334. Run D will be better. "How much?" is the only question.

As The Empire launches our 2023-2024 Victory Campaign just know that some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.

In My opinion I think we have the players and coaches to take the AFC west and make a deep run into the playoffs but the most important factor is Can we stay healthy?
this will be the greatest determining factor in our season.

I am not as pessimistic as you. I expect another playoff appearance. But if they somehow don't make it both TT and Staley walk. I think Kelly stays. IMO it is really Spiller vs Rountree and I see Rountree as the odd man out. I don't think Moore can recreate the Dallas success because our TE group is better receiving than blocking. This may not be what you meant, but Moore will have change to using the skills we have instead of recreating Dallas. I have every reason to think the offense will be better under Moore.

I honestly didn't even know Rountree was still on the roster, I thought he was on the PS if anything. I think both Kelly and Spiller stay, but who is #2? We could very well take the AFC West... KC lost Smith Schuster and Mecole Hardman. They lost Tyreek Hill and still won the Superbowl so losing those 2 doesn't matter all that much but, we have a chance. Our Wr Corps > KC WR corps... We'll see what happens.
