Herbert had a badly injured shoulder. Underwent surgery as soon as the season was over. It may have impacted his game. Non throwing shoulder. Labrum An injured labrum to the non-throwing shoulder that requires surgery doesn’t affect a QB when he throws? Let alone the fact that the mobile QB who normally is a running threat was also coming of fractured rib cartilage? Let’s face it, Herbert fought through injuries all season long & battled to earn a playoff spot. A vociferous leader he is not ala PR, but I guarantee that the players and coaching staff noticed and greatly respected the effort.

Kelly or Spiller, whoever wins the backup RB role. So who wins that battle....Kelly or Spiller? TT is up Spiller's ass this year calling for good things. But its a lame effort to stop the torches and pitchforks because he has done nothing to change the RB room. Dalvin Cook and Kareem Hunt are a phone call away.

His left arm could have fallen off and rolled down the field and we are still giving that right arm over 50 million dollars a year.

Dalvin Cook still on the FA list speaks for itself as does Kareem Hunt, but out of the 2 I'd take a chance on Hunt. I think as fans we're spoiled with guys like Pacheco, we expect everyone to be like that. I haven't given up on Spiller yet, but to be honest my expectations are not that high.

Labrum So really it was just a continuation of bad halftime adjustments from Lombardi.....and Staley. Moore should be an improvement in both play calling and halftime adjustments.

Just making a point of clarification, Cook is not a free agent- yet. He has been made available for trade discussions, and rumors have been spread that he may be cut to save cap (he makes like 12 mil a year for the next two years), but it seems highly unlikely that the Vikings would simply cut him and he would become a free agent. He'll either be a Viking for another year or he'll get traded, and I don't see the Chargers trading away anything and certainly not for an expensive RB.

I think he made big strides over the previous year and showed some hard running and better blocking last year. I think Spiller may be a notch above Kelley in terms of athleticism, but neither are elite. So I'm optimistic for Spiller to win this competition, but I think Kelley's experience gives him the nod for this season. I'm looking forward to seeing this play out through training camp and preseason- it's one of the more popular position battles on the offensive side.

Maybe add two years and bump his average to 9 mill. Just a guess, I'm not an expert on contracts- but I do know RBs don't get paid much and QBs do, so we'll need to save wherever we can for Herbert's big extension.

Moore will bring a new offence, but will certainly keep aspects that worked previously for these players. It will be interesting to see if Spiller or Kelly benefit from a new playbook.
I suspect, and hope, that Parham sees a big change in his use.....a successful change in use!

Parnham was left on the ground shivering and shakin' before the meat wagon drove off with him. THAT is why he had limited snaps last year. THAT is why he got a contract for a piss ant in money. $695,000 a year...............yeah, he is suddenly the next Kelce.

The main reason why Parham had limited snaps in 2022 was the hamstring injury that kept him inactive for half the season.
